the state of theta — and alpha rhythms.
In other words, you’re in the hypnoidal state, the state of drowsiness, the muscles are relaxed, and the body is still “turned off”. Do get out of bed right after being woken up for at least ten minutes. Until the body motor function is activated, you are still partially in the mental world, so you have much better chances to recall a dream.
