Sometimes dreams occur in which dreamers see or hear the date of death. Our dream dictionary has collected many confirmed outcomes of such dreams.
Such predictions concern symbolic death, for example the end of something. An example from a dream report: “…ahead was a beautiful public garden, it was raining, there was a distinct smell of autumn leaves. Right in the dream there was the scent of autumn. The road ended and my friend got out of his car, stood next to me and looked around in confusion.
I lowered my eyes to his license plate. It was red with an even horizontal line crossing through it, and a slash on top. Over it were written in black numbers, these were the numbers 14 10. My friend pointed at them and whispered in horror that this was the date of his death.”
Almost eight months later, in autumn, my friend’s business collapsed overnight because of the termination of a distributor contract, which the Germans had always renewed. However, not this time. The contract terminated on October 14.
Why people see dates in dreams
Dreams with dates and numbers are among the most frightening and at the same time mysterious. A person wakes up with a clear awareness: “I saw a date.” And begins to wait. This is a very difficult state of anticipation. But it is important to understand: dreams with dates almost never mean physical death in the literal sense. The subconscious mind works with symbols. A date in a dream is always an indication of an event that will happen on that day. And the event can be different.
A date is time. The symbol of time in a dream indicates when something important will happen. And it is not always death in the physical sense. It could be the end of some period, the completion of affairs, the loss of something valuable, the destruction of old structures.
Our project participants regularly share dreams in which they see dates. And almost always these dates come true. But it is important to learn to distinguish what exactly the number seen means.
How to understand when a dream will come true
Many do not know, but in dreams there is always an indication of the time when the event that a person saw in their dream will be realized. There are, in fact, quite a lot of symbols of time. But they are almost always overlooked.
There are also categories of such dreams. Conventionally, they can be divided into 3 general ones.
The first category is symbols of the time of events that occur after a long time interval. And they point to predetermined events in life. We are used to saying about them – “foreordained by fate.” Such dreams can be seen even 5-10-15 years in advance.
The second category is symbols of time that indicate time intervals. They mean how long a certain period of life will last or after how much time this or that event will occur.
The third category is numerical information in a dream, which indicates the time or date.
A dream about a black tooth and the death of a sister
I had a dream that my 2nd tooth on the upper left was black, completely rotten. Literally a week after the dream, I learned about the death of my cousin. She died at 39 from cancer.
For me, upper teeth have more than once represented women. Moreover, the closeness of kinship correlates with the distance of the tooth from the center: front teeth – about my own mother, second teeth – cousins, molars – grandmothers.
This dream is an example of how the subconscious uses the body as a map. Each tooth symbolizes a specific person in the family line. A black, rotten tooth means death. The upper teeth are women. Proximity to the center means closeness of kinship. The dream came true quickly – within a week.
Dream about a destroyed wall
Two months before the fatal accident of my common-law husband, I dreamed that in my house the wall between the kitchen and the bathroom had been destroyed. I am nervous in the dream, and the children of his kum calm me down. I see that the number of rooms in my house has increased, and I thought: not everything is so bad, I will replace the destroyed rooms with new ones.
In reality, my man died in an accident at work. His kum called me and told me about it. And after that, a granddaughter and a grandson were born to me, an addition to the family (new rooms). Now I have a new partner. I understood the dream only after the tragedy, but the hint came from our dream book.
This is a very important dream. It shows death not as an end, but as a transformation. The wall collapsed – the destruction of relationships, loss. But the new rooms mean an addition to the family, a new life. The kum in the dream is the one who will call in reality and report the death. The dream came true in every detail.
What teeth mean in a dream
Teeth in a dream are one of the most common symbols. They can mean relatives, friends, close people. By which tooth hurts, falls out, or rots, you can understand who exactly is under threat.
The upper teeth are women. The lower teeth are men. The front teeth are the closest people (parents, children). The back teeth are more distant relatives. If a tooth falls out without blood – someone is leaving your life. If with blood – a blood relative is leaving.
But teeth in a dream are not always death. It can be a loss of connection, a breakup of a relationship, a person leaving your life. It is important to look at the context of the dream and at your own feelings.
How to distinguish real death from symbolic death
The most frequent question that project participants ask: “I saw a date. Does this mean that someone will die?”
No. Not always. And not even most of the time.
A date in a dream is the time of an event. The event can be anything. In the case of the friend’s business, it was the end of a contract. In the case of the destroyed wall, it was the death of a man. But there are dreams where the date points to completely different events: the birth of a child, a move, the start of a new project, the end of studies.
How to distinguish?
Pay attention to the context. What is happening in your life right now? Who is next to you in the dream? What emotions are you experiencing?
Fear in a dream is not yet an indicator. Often people are afraid of dates simply because they associate them with death. But the subconscious can use fear so that you remember the date precisely, and not because the event will be frightening.
Dreams about the death of loved ones
I saw my husband’s death six months in advance and knew for certain that it was the end. All of mine come, explain, tell me what they are allowed to say. For my mother I asked the Judge – the man in white – to make concessions. Later I was told in a dream: “This is the one who loves her mother so much.” And the whole room was bright. My husband came for my mother and showed the date. A lot of things, yes. I know for certain: there is no death, there is a road home. I am also grateful to Victoria and to everyone who is here. Thank you!
This comment from a participant is very important. She writes that the deceased come in dreams and explain, show dates. She knew the end of her husband exactly six months in advance. She asked for her mother — the Judge in white.
And most importantly: “There is no death, there is a road home.” This knowledge comes to those who work with dreams deeply. Who see the deceased, communicate with them, receive information from them.
In dreams the deceased look young, healthy, happy. This is not an illusion. Many participants of the project note that deceased relatives come in dreams in a better state than in real life. They are younger, healthier, calmer.
Death in a dream is often shown as a transition. A person does not disappear. He simply passes into another state. And in a dream we can interact with this state.
Why dreams with dates come true
Dreams with dates are among the most accurate. They come true almost always. Why?
Because the subconscious has access to information that is unavailable to the conscious mind. It sees the chains of events that have already begun to unfold. It knows when a specific event will happen. And it transmits this information through a dream.
Numbers in a dream are a crystal-clear signal. They cannot be confused with anything else. That is why they come true.
But it is important to remember: the date you see is not a sentence. It is a warning. You cannot change the event, but you can prepare for it. You can change your reaction. You can live the remaining time differently.
How to work with dreams in which you see dates
If you saw a date in a dream, do not panic. Write it down. Write down all the details of the dream. Who was nearby? What was happening? What were the sensations?
Don’t wait for a catastrophe. Many dates point to ordinary events. Just be attentive to this date. Mark it on your calendar. If nothing happened, it means the event was symbolic or you mixed something up.
If you see the date of a loved one’s death, don’t try to stop it. You cannot stop the event. You can only prepare emotionally. Spend more time with this person. Tell them everything you wanted to say. Do everything you wanted to do together.
And remember: there is no death. There is the road home.
How to get more information about dates in a dream
To understand more deeply how dates work in dreams and how to interpret them correctly, take the webinar “Time in Dreams”. In it, I explain how to determine when a dream will come true, which symbols point to time, and how not to make a mistake in interpretation.
To check other symbols, use the dream interpretation app. And to choose the right time for practice, consult the Dream Calendar.
