Why You Should Stop Eating Vegetable Oil…

What actually is vegetable oil? Methods of its production. Nutritional qualities. Why You Should Stop Eating Vegetable Oil and what can be used instead of it?

Most people perceive vegetable oil as a mandatory and healthy addition to a complete diet, avoiding butter and animal fats, like lard.

It’s vegetable, after all, which means it was extracted from plants. And everything vegetable automatically means healthy.

For example, sunflower oil, which, I’m sure, is in every home, is obtained from sunflower seeds, right? And since it’s extracted from seeds, it means it won’t have that scary cholesterol, like, for example, in butter, which can clog our arteries and lead to heart disease.

Those were my thoughts. I avoided butter, as well as any fat of animal origin. I had a real fat phobia!

And God, how long I was afraid of what is so absolutely essential to our body (but more on that another time). I fried, baked, stewed only with vegetable (grapeseed oil, at the time it seemed to me the most natural and healthy).

And then, reading and learning what vegetable oil actually is, how it’s made and what it brings with it, I came to the conclusion that there is nothing vegetable or healthy in vegetable/sunflower oil.

It’s a toxic poison. Which you consume every day, thinking you’re doing your body a favor.

But, let’s start from the beginning.

What is vegetable oil?

Vegetable oil is triglycerides (fats) extracted from products of plant origin.

Humanity began producing vegetable oil relatively recently. About 150 years ago our ancestors had never even heard of any sunflower oil, cooking with butter, lard, chicken and goose fat.

But the age of industrialization arrived. Which changed many things, including people’s eating habits.

The consumption of sunflower oil and its products, such as margarine, for example, reached its peak in the ’50s, when the state, together with doctors, drilled into people that animal fats increase cholesterol levels, which, in turn, is the main factor in the development of cardiovascular diseases.

Everyone listened. And believed. And replaced butter with sunflower oil or, even worse, margarine. Which many continue to do to this day.

If, as the doctors told us, vegetable oils are so wonderful for our cardiovascular system, then why, precisely from the time people began consuming vegetable oil, did a sharp increase occur in the number of deaths caused by heart and circulatory system diseases???

Maybe the problem lies precisely in these very “healthy” vegetable oils?

How is sunflower oil produced?

Have you never wondered why we can’t make sunflower oil at home? We can make butter, and quite easily at that. It’s all explained by the fact that it is a very painstaking and absolutely unnatural process.

Consider for yourself whether you could obtain vegetable oil in your own kitchen:

  1. The seeds are first pressed, and then heated to high (250-300C) temperatures. What beneficial properties of the seeds will remain after that?
  2. Then it is reheated with a chemical solvent to get rid of the wax that is present after the 1st heating. This is like when you are trying to get rid of a stubborn stain on your favorite shirt and you wash it again, with a “stronger” detergent.
  3. At this stage the oil is very dark and has clumps, so even more chemicals are added to improve the color and consistency. The stain still hasn’t washed out — you’ll have to use “bleach.”
  4. It stands to reason that the original product does not have a pleasant smell and needs to be deodorized, again with the help of chemicals. Fabric softener, so it smells nice.

You can watch a video of this miraculous process here. Well, how do you like it? And you cook with it and dress your salads with it.

Vegetable oils are not real food, there is nothing natural in them, and our body is not adapted to digest them.

On top of everything else, manufacturers, in order to prevent them from spoiling and oxidizing, add BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole) and BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene) to the oils, which are artificial antioxidants. These substances cause disruptions of the immune system, kidneys, liver and other organs. Now imagine what happens inside when you consume them?

At the moment, more and more vegetable oils are produced from GMO seeds.

I want to add that coconut, palm and olive oil are not considered vegetable oils and are produced using a completely different technology. They are very healthy and necessary for optimal health.

If you still haven’t been sickened by this and you don’t think that sunflower oil is harmful to your health, then let’s move on to its nutritional qualities.

Nutritional qualities of sunflower oil

As we know, oil consists of fat. Its nutritional value is determined by which fats it consists of.

I think many have heard at least once the term Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs). Essential Fatty Acids are a type of fat that cannot be synthesized by our body and we must obtain it through food. They are called essential because they perform a number of important functions in our body.

There are 2 types of EFAs:

  • Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA), the more common name — Omega-3 Acid. Found in fatty fish, nuts, and algae.
  • Linoleic acid (LA) or Omega-6 Acid. Found in meat and vegetable oils.

Sunflower oil consists of 70% Polyunsaturated fats = 100% Omega-6 Acids and 0% Omega-3 Acids.

Why should this be important to you?

For ideal and full functioning of our body, the ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 should be 1:1. That’s how it was. 100 years ago, when people didn’t know about vegetable oil. With modern nutrition, the ratio of these acids in most people reaches 20:1 and continues to increase.

What problems can such a serious imbalance bring with it?

Why should you stop using vegetable oil?

  • Omega-6 acids are responsible for inflammatory processes in the body. Inflammation underlies heart disease, cancer, obesity, arthritis, depression, allergies, and autoimmune diseases.
  • Omega-6 acids oxidize very easily even at room temperature. When heated (every time you cook), the rate of oxidation increases many times over and free radicals are formed. They have no smell or taste and you don’t sense them, but free radicals attack the cells of your body, causing mutations in them. Which again can provoke a whole range of chronic diseases.
  • Vegetable oils are soaked in Hexane, which is also used to produce glue for shoes, leather goods and, what a surprise! it is part of gasoline.
  • Our body consists mainly of Monounsaturated and Saturated fats. To maintain balance and normal body functions, our diet should, for the most part, consist of these fats. Only 4% comes from Polyunsaturated, which includes vegetable oil.
  • Sunflower oil stimulates excessive production of neuromodulating lipids, which are responsible for sending hunger signals to the brain. You do not feel a sense of fullness and continue eating.
  • Vegetable oils contain Trans fats (hydrogenated fat) — unsaturated fats modified to be solid at room temperature. This also includes margarine and everything that pretends to be real butter, but is not. Trans fats are toxic to the body, provoke inflammation and mutations in cells. They lead to obesity, diabetes, increase the level of Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) “bad cholesterol”, while lowering the level of High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) “good cholesterol”, which leads to cholesterol deposition on vessel walls and cardiovascular system diseases.

What counts as vegetable oils?

  • sunflower oil
  • corn oil
  • rapeseed/canola oil
  • peanut oil
  • grapeseed oil
  • cottonseed oil
  • margarine
  • fake butter

Where can vegetable oil be found?

Store-bought salad dressings, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, sauces, chips, cookies, baked goods, semi-finished products, pies, any fast food. Be careful, read the label!

By using vegetable oil for frying at high temperatures, you turn it into Trans Fat. Another “+” for its use in nutrition.

What to use instead of vegetable oil?

The most natural, unprocessed fats, which do not oxidize and do not contain free radicals.

For cooking, choose oils that are stable at high temperatures — the old, time-tested butter, clarified butter, ghee (Indian clarified butter), coconut oil. Also, fats of animal origin are perfectly suitable: lard, chicken and goose fats.

Use olive oil ONLY cold, it is not stable and easily oxidizes. So add as much as you like to salads, but never to a frying pan.

Right now I have no vegetable oil at home and never will. I used a bottle of “half-used” grapeseed oil in a homemade body scrub. As they say, better outside than inside…

For cooking I use coconut oil, butter and ghee. And oh, those potatoes in lard… In salad — olive, coconut or red palm oil.

In any baking, I replace vegetable oil with either liquid coconut or melted butter. Mayonnaise, ketchup and other sauces I try to make myself at home, since most store-bought ones contain vegetable oil.

I can say that one thing visibly changed for sure, from the moment I stopped consuming vegetable oils — my skin became clearer.

My little sister, for example, noticed that after she stopped cooking with sunflower oil, replacing it with butter — her feeling of nausea after eating disappeared (she has gallbladder problems).

But this is only what is visible to the eye. What happens inside is hard to say. But many studies already show that vegetable oils are one of the main causes (along with wheat and sugar) of the sharp rise in mortality from cardiovascular diseases.

If anyone didn’t know, the #1 cause of death on Earth is heart disease.

Giving up sunflower oil is not that difficult. And believe me, it’s much tastier and healthier.

Now you know who I am!!” This speech made me so indignant (like, what nerve to declare such a thing to me!) that I immediately decided to exit the dream and did so.. Now a question related to what was seen.. Tell me, what is your relationship with darkness? Have you resorted to the help of magic? Treatment by “wise women,” etc.

I didn’t see you as such, it was dark, but it was like it was you. You knocked the prayers for other people out of my hand, and when I started gathering them and asking you, “What are you doing?” you started telling me, “Why are you doing this! Leave it, who needs it?!!” Not understanding why you were saying this, I gather the sheets, I stand up. And then I was even more surprised when you said, “The prince of darkness greets you!”
