Dreams about Seryozha: the story of one soul

Here is what one of the participants in our project told us. She had dreams about Seryozha, a person who died. The dreams were vivid, detailed and recurring.

The first meeting on the bus

I take a seat on the bus by the window. I put my bag next to me so no one sits there. This seat is for Seryozha. I lean my head against the glass and fall asleep. I wake up because someone has put their head on my shoulder. I see two men walking down the aisle. I know that they are Seryozha’s uncle and nephew. Next to me sits a man in a hood. I cannot see his face because he has leaned his head on my shoulder.

I joyfully say that I recognized him. Seryozha takes off his hood and asks, laughing: “Well, how are you?” I do not have time to answer. Instead of him, a humanoid creature in a suit and tie appears. Taller than a human. Its face resembles a human one, but the forehead immediately turns into a humped nose. It takes up almost the entire face. Small eyes. I know that this is the uncle, and I say that I want to talk to Seryozha. He turns his head back. I understand that Seryozha is at the back of the bus.

At that moment my uncle disappears and already Seryozha is beside me. He is cheerful and continues the conversation with me. He asks where I am going. I answer that I am going to a funeral in Granada. When I asked where he was going, he answered that he had deliberately gotten on the bus in order to spend four hours on the road with me. At that the dream ended.

Interpretation of this dream

A bus in a dream is a symbol of movement, transition, a collective journey. In this case it is a transition to the other world. The participant is traveling, and Seryozha gets on the same bus in order to be near . This is an indication that the deceased can be near, even if you do not see him.

A hood is a symbol of secrecy, of an unwillingness to show one’s true face. Seryozha first hides, then reveals himself. This means that he was first checking whether the participant was ready for contact.

A humanoid being is a guide, a mediator between worlds. The uncle takes such a form because he has already been in the other world for a long time and knows its laws.

Dreams of Seryozha’s ex-wife

After 40 days, Seryozha began to appear in his ex-wife’s dreams. She asked him to tell her how things were with him. And he began to show her.

These were vivid dreams. When she woke up, she could not understand whether it had been a dream or not.

The queue for rebirth

The first time she dreamed that she understood – she was in heaven. She and Seryozha come out of an elevator at the top. There is a queue and many people. She asked what they were standing there for. Seryozha said that they were waiting in line for rebirth. She asked: “And do you need to wait here?” He said: “No.” She thought that it was too early for him to stand in line.

Interpretation of this dream

The queue for rebirth is a symbol that souls are preparing for a new incarnation. The fact that Seryozha is not standing in the queue means that he is not yet ready to be reborn. He has unfinished business. Perhaps he wants to wait for someone or something.

Learning to embrace a soul

The second dream was about flying. She separated from her body, and they flew with Seryozha. He tried to persuade her to stay with him there. She cried and said she would miss her loved ones. Seryozha said: “At first it will be sad, but then it will pass.” He said that she could find herself with whomever she wanted at any time and could embrace that person.

She asked how she would embrace them. Then he took her by the hand, and they found themselves next to her mother. Her mother was crying over her. Seryozha began teaching her how to separate the soul from the body in order to embrace her mother. She tried, and she succeeded. But she still said that she wanted to go back. Seryozha tried to persuade her. When he realized that she did not want to, he led her to someone. That person said: “This is not your time. Therefore you have a choice – to stay here or to return.” She said: “To return.” When she was let go, she woke up abruptly and was in shock.

Flying in a dream is a symbol of the soul’s freedom. Seryozha teaches his ex-wife to separate the soul from the body. This means that she too has the ability for astral projection. But she is not ready to remain in the otherworldly realm. Her time has not yet come.

Tears and longing are a natural reaction to separation. Seryozha says that the longing will pass. This is an important hint for those who are grieving a loss. Grief goes away with time.

Seryozha finds love

In the next dream, she sees Seryozha embracing some woman. Externally, she is nothing special. She asks his friends who this is. They tell her – this is Sveta. She was in shock and said that she had seen her, and she doesn’t look like that. Then Seryozha got up, and they go. He leads her to a young girl. She remembered her appearance, but doesn’t know her.

She understands and says to him: “So it turns out, Sveta is a cover, but in reality this is your love?” He says: “Yes.” She starts shouting at them, swearing that he deceived her. And they calmly listen. Then Seryozha says: “Leave me alone. I only just now understood what love is, and I am very happy.”

She says: “All right, be happy.” And she asks to be put on a bus and sent back home. Seryozha took her by the hand, and with the other – a little boy. They quickly delivered her to the bus. She gets on an empty bus. Seryozha tells the driver where to take her. She looks, and in the bus with her is that little boy. She says to the driver: “Wait, this is not my boy, he is theirs.” And she dropped him off and left.

Interpretation of this dream

This dream shows that Seryozha continues to live. He finds love. This does not mean that he betrayed his ex-wife. This means that his soul is developing. He is learning to love for real.

The little boy is a symbol of the connection that remained between them. The participant drops him off because she understands that this connection must be broken. She needs to move on.

Seryozha in the basement: punishment and purification

In the following dream, she arrives at some house. She unpacks her things. For some reason she goes down to the basement. And there on the concrete floor lies Seryozha. Sort of sick. She asks what’s wrong with him and what he’s doing there. She’s told that he was punished and beaten and locked up in there.

She lifts him out of the basement and begins to care for him. She washed him, fed him. Then they are already standing outside. She needs to go back. She tells Seryozha (he was already standing normally) that she will stay to look after him. Seryozha says: “No, you have to leave. You have Roma, and he needs you. And with me will stay…” – and he pointed to some girl. They stood, crying and saying goodbye, as if forever. This girl tells her: “Don’t worry, everything will be fine with him, I’ll look after him.”

Interpretation of this dream

The basement is a symbol of the lowest level, suffering, punishment. Seryozha in the basement – he is undergoing purification. He must atone for his mistakes. The dreamer helps him, cares for him. This symbolizes forgiveness and letting go.

The fact that Seryozha tells her to leave is an important sign. He is letting her go. He understands that she is needed by a living person. He has chosen for himself a path with another soul.

Seryozha asks for money

She dreamed of Seryozha, she was talking with him. He asked her for money. He said that he lives at her parents’ house. She said that he must go to heaven, that it’s not right this way. She says: “So it turns out you’re between heaven and earth.” And he replied that it was his choice and he wanted it that way, to see them and be near. That’s why he needs money.

She says: “And how did you go those 7 months without money?” He says: “I had some, and I economized.” She asked him what he felt when he was dying. He said it was very painful, he cried a lot and didn’t want to die. That’s why he said that when they buried him, they saw a tear (the liquid remained in his eyes). And in general he said: “Everything is not the way you think. There is no tunnel, no angels come, but everything is different.”

She wanted to ask about the project all the time, but Seryozha wouldn’t allow it. And he also said that he has such a strong connection with her alone. That’s why he can talk to her.

Interpretation of this dream

Money in the other world is energy, the resources that are needed to exist there. Seryozha asks for money because he needs energetic nourishment. He lives between worlds and needs support.

The conversation about death is the most important moment. Seryozha says that there is no tunnel and no angels. Everything is different. This means that death is an individual experience. Everyone goes through it in their own way. One shouldn’t believe stereotypes.

She remembers that in the dream they were sitting in a company of people. Seryozha said that these were his friends. She says to him: “Why do you need all this, you’re not alive.” He answered that he is bored and this way he at least finds something to occupy himself with.

She remembers that they are sitting next to him. His face looks a bit corpse-like. She clearly remembers the corpse-like smell coming from him. And she said: “How can you pass yourself off as a living person? It’s obvious that you’re not like everyone else.” She says to him: “Even now, sitting next to you is a bit frightening.” She remembers how her heart pounded hard with fear, but she didn’t want to show it to Seryozha.

The smell of a corpse in a dream is a sign that the deceased has not yet fully transitioned to a new state. He is still connected to the physical body. This can be frightening for a living person. But it doesn’t mean the deceased wants to cause harm. It’s simply a process of transition.
