The Ghost as a Response to an Affirmation

One of the participants was doing an affirmation for a future relationship. She dreamed of the whole family, a deceased dog, and two deceased grandmothers. The man himself, for whom she was doing the affirmation, did not appear in the dream.

The dream: She is near a window in her parents’ apartment. Outside the window there is a completely different landscape, but very cozy. Evening, winter, the streets are dusted with snow, the streetlights are on. Next to her stands her grandmother, smiling. Then she goes to the kitchen and hears a doorbell. It frightens her, but she walks past and does not open the door. In the kitchen, everyone is sitting at the table — mom, dad, sister, and the dog from childhood.

Someone opens the door, and the second grandmother bursts into the apartment. She is indignant at the father and runs straight at him. The participant realizes that this is a ghost and stands in her way. The grandmother passes through her, then through dad, and disappears.
