What an aquarium means in a dream: interpretation according to the dream book and stories that came true

An aquarium in a dream is an area of experiences, an emotional environment in relation to certain events. Since an aquarium is connected to fish, and fish symbolize desires related to material wealth and income, or the fulfillment of other desires (for example, about pregnancy), an aquarium as a dream symbol also means the fulfillment of desires.

If you want to check your symbols, go to the dream interpretation app. It contains thousands of real examples from our project.

If the aquarium has clean water and fish, the wish will come true. If the aquarium is empty or the water in it is dirty, the wish will not come true. Everything you see in the aquarium concerns you directly or indirectly. Murky water means heavy feelings and worries. If there are fish in the murky water, it means illness or strong worries about children. If the fish are dead, plans will not come to fruition. The book “Prophetic Dreams and Lucid Dreaming” will help you understand the logic of dreams more deeply.

What different scenarios with an aquarium mean

Beautiful colorful fish in an aquarium mean joyful news. Catching fish or taking them in your hands means the fulfillment of a wish and joy in the home. Fish jumping out of the aquarium mean danger and failures. A goldfish means a happy and long-awaited event in the family. An aquarium breaking means quarrels and great troubles. Cleaning the aquarium is a very good sign. All troubles will soon end.

A dream that came true: an aquarium with murky water and the daughter’s illness

A participant shared a dream. In the kitchen on the countertop stands an aquarium with colorful fish. The water is murky, white – the fish are hard to see. There’s a feeling that the water is boiling, though it isn’t hot. She takes the aquarium in her hands and moves it toward the wall.

The water goes beyond the edges, a little more and it will start pouring over the rim. Into this strip of water swims a fish. She looks at it in surprise – the fish has become plastic. She thinks: “Mom will scold me” and pushes the aquarium away from the wall.

The dream began to come true the next day. Her daughter got sick with bronchitis, and a diagnosis was made that required confirmation by a radiologist. The wall and the aquarium moved toward it are a symbol of difficulties, but objective ones. The water nearly pouring over the edge – a state of anxiety, inner boiling.

She holds the aquarium in her hands – she tries to control her emotions, to keep herself in hand. The plastic fish – news, but nothing serious. The diagnosis was not confirmed. She moved the aquarium away from the wall – a shift in the situation thanks to her own efforts and relief.

A dream that came true: snakes in an aquarium and gossip at work

The participant had the dream in 2012. Her apartment. On a shelf stands an aquarium with no water in it. In it, small snakes writhe in a ball. Two or three are a little bigger, the rest are like worms. They hiss quietly. She thinks: “Why do I need snakes? Why do I keep them?” The lid is slightly open. She closes it and feels relief.

Realization: the dream showed a situation at work. She had a conflict with management. The whole team encouraged her. But one day she came in earlier and became a witness to a conversation about herself – everyone was going on about what an egoist she was.

She smiled at everyone and said that it was nice to be the topic of the morning discussion. There were small attempts to spite her, but quite childish. She was made a tempting offer, but she refused.

The snakes ended up under the lid, and she stayed to work until the contract expired. The snakes languished in the aquarium for several months. The size of the snakes characterized the management and the ordinary gossips. The fact that the snakes were small showed their low danger.

A dream come true: dead fish in the aquarium and colleagues

The participant had a dream. Large dark fish were swimming in a large aquarium. In the small one, there was a burgundy iridescent fish. Then the burgundy fish lay dead at the bottom, without eyes. There was also a yellow fish, and it also died. Someone was standing behind on the left. She asked who could have done it. She was told it was the large fish from the big aquarium.

Interpretation: an aquarium with fish — desires that will not come true because of colleagues. “They ate the eyes” — she is being watched, everything is done behind her back. The dream showed that a relationship between her and a man is not being established because of what is happening at work.

What to do if you dream about an aquarium

If you dream about an aquarium, pay attention to the state of the water and the fish. Clear water with fish means the fulfillment of desires. Cloudy water means worries. Dead fish mean the collapse of plans. Snakes in an aquarium mean gossip and ill-wishers.
