What a carpet dream means: dream interpretation and stories that came true

A woman dreamed of an apartment. A carpet covered the entire wall, a beautiful woolen one, with a pattern. A red border, and in the middle small colorful birds like hummingbirds. She was picking a thread out of the carpet. A man came up and said the carpet was old-fashioned. She silently began folding clean linen into a stack. Then he hugged her and kissed her. He was happy. He got ready to decorate the window for the New Year. She took the tinsel and joined in. And outside the window, on the canopy over the building entrance, stood a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The dream showed: the man had feelings for her and planned to get in touch during the New Year holidays.

A carpet in dreams is a symbol of prosperity, personal happiness (meaning home, family), the well-being of the family, and can also indicate the state of the family’s and the person’s property.

The project’s database helps to make sense of the details of such a dream. In our app there are more than 7000 symbols that are not publicly available. The website only has a fragment of the dream dictionary. It also contains stories from participants whose dreams came true in reality.

A carpet in a dream: what it means and what it points to

A carpet in dreams is a symbol of prosperity, personal happiness (meaning home, family), the well-being of the family, and can also indicate the state of the family’s and the person’s property.

Carpets were originally a sign of wealth and a person’s affluence. Since previously only well-off people could afford to have them.

Currently, very expensive carpets can also indicate a financial aspect. Since the “bare floor” symbol also points to poverty, among other things.

In this regard, one of the aspects of the carpet symbol is an indication of the financial state, or its absence, for the one who sees the dream.

Although one should be guided by the room itself and who its owner is, to whom it belongs.

This matters because people dream not only about themselves, but also about those they think about or worry about.

As you yourself understand, the more expensive, beautiful, and solid the carpet, the better.

In such a case, this will be an indication of profit, income, wealth.

But an important aspect of this particular symbol is a “long period of well-being.”

Carpets are not a one-day thing. They can be in a home for decades.

Therefore, the symbol itself also includes an additional aspect – the temporal characteristic of the long-term nature of circumstances.

You can check all the details of a dream in the app. There are more than 7,000 symbols there, and each one is determined based on analytics of thousands of fulfilled dreams from the project. The website does not have such a database.

An expensive carpet, carpet runners and color in a dream

An expensive carpet can sometimes indicate the acquisition of some kind of property. However, in such dreams there will necessarily also be additional symbols indicating acquisitions.

If someone is laying a carpet for you, the dream means that someone is interested in you as a partner. They want (and will soon offer) to have a connection, a union, a partnership with you.

It is this symbol that often points to the creation of a future family, one’s own home, if the carpet is in a residential space, a new house or apartment.

In such dreams, by the appearance of the carpet and its characteristics, you will be able to determine which side of your life this concerns.

The characters in the dream should also be taken into account.

In other words, if they were business people, then the carpet will most likely be an office one, or it will be a runner.

If it was a person who has some kind of personal relationship with you, in such a dream the carpet will most likely be a home one.

And the dream is a harbinger of union, it concerns marriage and a shared home.

For single people (unmarried women, unmarried men), a beautiful home carpet can mean marriage and wedlock.

And the condition of the carpet, the patterns on the carpet, its appearance, quality — will point to exactly the same aspects of future family life.

Rich Persian carpets are dreamed of as a sign of prosperity and well-being.

Patterns on carpets can symbolically point to the relationships and feelings that will exist between spouses in the family. The more beautiful the pattern, the more beautiful the relationships will be and the happier life will be in such a union.

There is an expression: “everything is in carpets.” If such a symbol was present in your dream, then the dream points to luxury and wealth, significant and long-term changes.

To walk and feel the pile beneath your feet, the pleasant thickness of a carpet, to walk on it and feel pleasant touches, means that your future and your path will be filled with good fortune and prosperity.

Carpet runners symbolically mean certain roads, a path, journeys, trips. Something will be connected with the road.

The color of carpets and runners:

Red – prosperity, financial well-being, may indicate fame in some field.

Green – the aspect of success, achievements and accomplishments, a “green road,” accompanying good luck, circumstances in your favor, the path to glory. Always concerns achievements in society.

A flying carpet may indicate fortune, a fortunate confluence of circumstances and the success that follows it, changing life in a literally magical way.

A carpet that appears in a dream in a strange way, out of place, yet is beautiful and expensive (or without any negative characteristics), means that expectations will be justified and will even exceed the most daring dreams.

Buying carpets – a symbol of future (subsequent) profit. The more expensive the carpet, the greater the profit.

If the room, or the path, that you dream about is covered with carpets, you can consider that the situation you find yourself in in life will also be “strewn with rose petals.” It is characterized by the absence of obstacles and the support of influential and successful people.

But if your carpet was taken from you, if you lost it in some way, the dream indicates unfavorable circumstances in life that will be accompanied by losses, lack of money.

Holes in a carpet – toward poverty, financial difficulties.

If you dream of simple, cheap, shabby and worn carpets, it is a symbol of poverty, depression. And often of a prolonged period of hardship.

Dirty carpets mean failures because of your own mistakes, careless behavior and wastefulness.

The full picture with all the nuances is given by our app. There, the project’s complete dream book database, more than 7000 symbols, which is not publicly available. We even have dreams that are not in any dream book, because these are not invented symbols, but real ones that came true.

Carpet in a dream: what to do after waking up

Dreamed of a carpet? First, record the details. They are what determine the meaning.

Write down what the carpet was like. Expensive, beautiful, sturdy? To profit, income and long-term well-being. Simple, cheap, shabby? To poverty and depression. Dirty? To failures because of your own mistakes.

Remember what you were doing. Buying, walking on it, having it laid out for you? To buy – to future profit. To walk on a carpet – to successes and well-being along the way. Someone laying it out – to interest in you as a partner.

Pay attention to the color. Red – to prosperity and fame. Green – to success and achievements in society.

Look at where the carpet was. In a residential space – to starting a family and a household union. In an office among business people – to partnership relations.

You can check the full interpretation in the app. The algorithm takes into account all the details of the dream and shows a complete picture. There, too, are more than 7000 symbols that cannot be found on the website.

And if you want not just to read about dreams, but to induce them, in the app there are practices and affirmations. They help you receive prophetic dreams and answers to important questions.
