What a face means in a dream: dream interpretation and stories that came true
Based on dreams that have already come true, we tracked how dreams about faces come true. What the face looked like matters. This information is meaningful because the subconscious would not simply “show” a face through a dream for no reason.
The project’s database helps make sense of the details of such a dream. In our app there are more than 7,000 symbols that are not publicly available. The website only has a fragment of the dream dictionary. It also contains stories from participants whose dreams were confirmed in reality.
A face in a dream: what it means and what it points to
Seeing your own face in a dream means your personal state in the near future and how you will feel in a new environment connected with changes or certain events in your life.
In general, a face in a dream symbolizes your concern about how you look in the eyes of people or of a certain person.
Therefore, if you did not like your face in the dream, and according to the dream’s plot there was also someone next to you, the dream means that you feel a mismatch in certain circumstances. You would like to look and carry yourself better.
There is a fitting idiom for better understanding such a dream symbol: to lose face.
If in your dream your face was beautiful and clean, in the near future everything in your life will be well, and success in your affairs will be guaranteed.
Besides, you will feel confident and just as confidently handle all matters and goals you have set.
If you were making a wish on a PROPHETIC DREAM, and you saw your own face without flaws and, most importantly, you liked it yourself, then the answer to the dream will be positive in the sense of the fulfillment of desires and confidence in the future.
There is a small difference between dreams in which you simply see yourself and those in which you see your reflection in a mirror. If in the dream you were looking at your face in a mirror, then the dream points more to your own thoughts about health and beauty.
A dream in which your face or your head seemed to grow larger… Means a win, advancement in affairs and in service. Prosperity and profit obtained in an unusual way.
You can check all the details of a dream in the app. There are more than 7,000 symbols there, and each one is determined based on analytics of thousands of dreams from the project that came true. There is no such database on the website.
An old face, wrinkles, cream, tan, paleness in a dream
A beautiful appearance says that your worries and fears are groundless.
Seeing an old face – thoughts about age, fear of old age and fading. Also, such a dream can mean powerlessness in any sense.
Wrinkles on the face mean life’s troubles, which leave their mark. And they change you, taking away strength and health.
It is good if in the dream you used cream and spread it on your face. Such a dream means good luck. Everything will improve for you, and prosperity awaits you ahead.
Such a symbol points to favorable life circumstances that will finally accompany your peace, health, confidence, and prosperity. For women, such a dream can mean happiness in marriage. A husband’s care.
Cream – a symbol of skin care – a positive characteristic: satisfaction of requirements, desires, benefit, effective result. Oil – a super positive characteristic of the situation. Water – a good symbol of positive emotions. The combination of symbols for cream is as follows – fulfillment of a wish, the opportunity to receive satisfaction by getting a quality result.

A beautiful tan in a dream – a symbol of imminent well-being. In general, if in your dream you were sunbathing and felt comfortable, warm, good – life is improving!
A tanned, dark, beautiful face is dreamed of for success in affairs.
The symbol of a tan – an indication of a favorable outcome of a matter.
A pale face means worries, a difficult period.
If in a dream you see another person with such a face – there are many problems in their life. Well, an enemy with a pale appearance means that in reality your enemies got what they deserved, including thanks to your efforts.
The full picture with all the nuances is provided by our application. There is a complete database of the project’s dream book, more than 7000 symbols, which is not publicly available. We even have dreams that are not in any dream book, because these are not invented symbols, but real ones that came true.
Facial expression, eyelashes, another face, mask in a dream
A sugary facial expression indicates a smug, selfish person who does not forget offenses.
Anger on the face indicates a person who hates you and wishes you misfortune. If they can, they will certainly cause you trouble.
A pleased one – a person’s success and achievements.
A dark face, darkened – sorrow, worries, severe stress.
Beautiful, lush, long, thick eyelashes in a dream are a symbol of great happiness. Such a dream foretells well-being.
If you dreamed of eyes without eyelashes, or they were sparse, small, unattractive – great disappointments await you.
Gluing on unreal artificial eyelashes is a sign of deceit.
Seeing another face, that is, the face of another person, in a dream means a mental connection with them, especially if they are looking at you in the dream.
I have very often encountered such a symbol in dream reports, when a mental connection was established between people for personal reasons. Especially if the face of a person of the opposite sex is dreamed of. Also, it can be said about such dreams that they occur in a “drowsy” state – this is a stage of sleep – alpha. No longer a dream, not yet wakefulness. We call this the near astral.
If you see someone else’s face very close in front of you, it means that the person is very interested in you. They think about you a lot. If you dreamed that a person you know had a different face, the dream points to strong changes in your relationship with that person. And also that you will get to know this person from another side. For you, they will open up in a new light, with a “different face,” that is, you will learn something new about them. And it is clear that a beautiful face in such a case represents the traits of their character and their attitude toward you that you will like. And vice versa.
And a person without a face means that in your circle there is someone who is deliberately hiding their true situation from you. The reasons may be different. If you were afraid of such a person in the dream, it means that intuitively you feel a threat, and it is justified.
A face with a mask directly points to a person deceiving you. Someone is playing a role and really does not want to reveal themselves to you. If you are the one in the mask in the dream, you are fooling someone, or hiding your true inner feelings.
An ugly face, a red face, pimples, wounds, dirt, a mole, a scar in a dream
An ugly face in a dream points to worries, emotional turmoil and failures. If the face in the dream is truly frightening, then a time of strong anxiety and upheaval awaits you. But this speaks mainly about your inner state, and not about the fulfillment of an event because of which you will worry.
A red face most often means anger and intense rage. From the plot of the dream you will be able to determine why, or toward whom, the person with the red face in the dream is angry and displeased.
If you dreamed of a face with pimples, acne, pustules, a rash, allergies, the dream means emotional suffering because of attacks and slander from ill-wishers. This meaning does not apply to those who have skin problems in reality.
If you dreamed that you were squeezing out pimples, pustules, it means success and well-being after a long period of disappointments.
A burn on the face points to fame, glory and renown.
Seeing the face of a deceased person in a dream means changes. By the expression on the face you will be able to determine what kind. Often the deceased appear in dreams at the end of troubles.
Wounds, cuts, sores on the face in a dream mean stress and emotional turmoil. Cuts relate more to inflicted grievances. Wounds mean more severe events: betrayal, intrigues, losses that leave a mark for a long time. Sores on the face mean an unexpected and unpleasant event.
Spots on the face can mean humiliations and condemnations.
Dirt on the face means shame.
Washing your face means recovery, well-being. To wash yourself means a good period of life lies ahead.
Bruises on the face mean troubles, conflicts, quarrels.
A mole on the face, if in reality you do not have one, is dreamed of as changes in life due to events that will happen in your family.
A scar on the face means an upcoming event that will change life forever and leave a mark. Everyone will know about it.
A disfigured face is dreamed of as a difficult life period of worries and strong experiences. This will concern first of all the person whose disfigured face you saw in your dream.
Painting or powdering your face means improving your life; if in the dream you put on makeup and like it (or powder your face), then in life everything will work out too. Such a dream means that the well-being of your life is in your hands and much depends on you and your determination, mood. At least, for now.
A tattoo on the face says that you will become more or less famous. But whether you become famed or infamous can be judged by the design of the tattoo.
Blood on the face is dreamed of as events that will soon happen and plunge you into fear for your life. By your feelings from the dream you will be able to determine how dangerous the event may be.
If in a dream someone spat in your face, the dream means quarrels and disputes. To spit in someone’s face in a dream means monetary expenses because of someone else.
Hitting your wife or husband on the face means agreement and peace in the family.
Beard, warts, freckles, swollen face, skin, spider in a dream
A beard on a man’s face means profit and success in business. If a woman had a beard in a dream, there are several meanings. For unmarried women, such a dream foretells a quick marriage. For married women, it means the woman will have to make decisions herself. It may indicate a breakup, which will lead to independence.
A thick and beautiful beard in any case foretells accomplishment and self-realization.
Shaving the hair on your face foretells trouble.
Stubble on the face foretells decline in business and affairs.
Warts on the face also symbolize troubles. It is good if in the dream they go away or disappear.
Freckles foretell happiness and profitable affairs, projects, work, deals.
A swollen face foretells success with the opposite sex.
If in a dream a pleasant wind blows on your face, good changes await you.
Removing the skin from someone’s face means victory over an enemy. Tearing the skin off your own face means complete ruin.
A spider descending onto your face in a dream is a symbol of missed opportunities.
The expanded meaning of this symbol, with all the details, can be found in our app. It contains the complete dream book database of the project, more than 7,000 symbols, which is not available in the public domain.
A face in a dream: what to do after waking up
Did you dream about a face? First, record the details. It is they that determine the meaning.
Write down whose face it was. Your own, an acquaintance’s, a stranger’s, a deceased person’s? Whose face it is – that is the person the event points to.
Recall what the face was like. Beautiful and clean – for well-being. Old, unattractive, with flaws – for worries and failures.
Pay attention to the facial expression. Content – for success. Angry – for troubles from an enemy. Sugary – for a smug person. Dark – for sorrow.
Look at what you felt. Joy – for good events. Fear – for a threat.
You can check the full interpretation in the app. The algorithm takes into account all the details of the dream and shows a complete picture. There are also more than 7,000 symbols there that cannot be found on the website.
And if you want not just to read about dreams but to induce them, the app has practices and affirmations. They help you receive prophetic dreams and answers to important questions.

Please help me decipher this dream. I see my hairy hands in a dream. With one hand, like a laser, I burn the hair on the other hand. Energy comes out of my fingers and burns the hair.. I think to myself, well, no one has such an ability as I do. After all, not everyone possesses such energy. I also see my daughter. On her face, dark, burnt-looking skin from a tan is peeling off. And underneath it, light, healthy skin is visible. I also see the president. How he gives a speech and is given a red rose. And he gives this rose to his wife. She also has one rose in her hands. From a distance, it seems to me that the petals are falling out; so that no one notices this, she hides the rose. But looking closer, I see that all the petals are in place.
A dream from 2009: A mountainous area, I am walking down a path along a stream that has almost dried up further down. I stopped and looked down – I do not need to go there. And I went up, where the stream was full, clean, and transparent. Green grass, mountain flowers – yellow and purple (lilac), I was photographing them. A Man approached me – a Man in a black (leather?) cloak – a strong-willed, stern face, an extraordinary inner power – I was simply drawn to him. He silently touched my forehead with his index finger – like a slight electric shock. Later I asked everyone – is there anything on my forehead? Someone said there was something white. I said: “That is an old scar, is there anything else?” They said to me: “Seems not.” But I knew that there WAS, but no one sees it, and I calmed down. This invisible scar was in the form of a Sign, which, much later, I found on the internet – it turned out to be one of the Runes.
Today I had this dream. I’m in a big house with acquaintances, we’re doing something related to work. And suddenly two women come into the house and they’re sort of my relatives, I went to meet them and I hug and kiss them on the cheek, but on their faces there are beards and mustaches as if drawn with a thick black marker. Both have such beards and mustaches on their faces, I didn’t feel any hair when I kissed them, but I immediately noticed their faces and thought something was off, but then for some reason I thought it was normal. And I told one of them, the younger one, that you’ve changed
– what you’ve become, it turns out. As if it were a compliment. The face is right before my eyes, it seemed like it was normal in the dream, but I didn’t like them. It made them stand out, and they wanted that, but for me it was repulsive. Tell me, what could this be about?
