Dream book moon dreamed Interpretation of sleep

Moon Dream Book: What the Moon Means in Dreams

The Moon is a symbol of woman (the Sun is man, the Moon is woman), intuition, latent abilities. It can also symbolize the life cycle: the new moon – rebirth and ascent to success and prosperity, the full moon – the peak and power of a period in its fullest manifestation, the waning moon – the end of a period and a decline in potential in something.

In this article I will explain what the moon means in dreams, what the new moon, full moon, waning moon, red and blue moon signify, as well as the moon and sun together. At the end I will give one real dream that came true and show how the symbol manifested in life.

If you want to check your symbols, go to the dream interpretation app. It contains thousands of real examples from our project, a complete database of dreams that came true and more than 7000 symbols with interpretations that are not available in the public domain.

What the Moon Means in a Dream: The Main Symbol

The Moon is a symbol of woman (the Sun is man, the Moon is woman), intuition, mysticism (latent abilities).

It can also symbolize the life cycle: the new moon – rebirth and ascent to success and prosperity, the full moon – the peak and power of a period in its fullest manifestation, the waning moon – the end of a period and a decline in potential in something.

Dreams in which the sun, moon, planets, stars appear cannot be ordinary or everyday (about mundane, habitual events in life).

They always foreshadow significant changes, something important that will come into your life, or leave it.

Also, the Moon is a symbol of time in dreams. Its cycle – 28 days – may coincide with a period of a month.

And sometimes it may indicate precisely that an event, just as in the dream, will occur at the new moon (you can judge by the appearance of the Moon in the dream), the full moon or at the waning moon.

It should be taken into account that, like almost all dream symbols, the Moon is an ambivalent symbol. It has a positive and a negative aspect.

The positive one – when the Moon is bright, beautiful (according to your perception in the dream), rays, light emanate from it, or it glows, sparkles.

The negative aspect – the Moon is “blood-red,” clouded, dim, in fog, in haze, as well as any other forms of it that are negative according to your perception in the dream.

New Moon (Waxing Moon) in a Dream

In the positive aspect:

• For businesspeople it may indicate growth in income.

• For lovers, a new romance, a meeting and rebirth of feelings.

• For those who are ill – recovery.

In the negative one: empty plans in business, unfulfilled hopes of lovers, weakness, powerlessness – for the sick. The time of “action” – the 1st and 2nd phases of the moon. While it is waxing.

Full Moon in a Dream

In the positive aspect:

• For businesspeople it may indicate a very high growth in income (peak).

• For lovers – the fulfillment of desires, marriage, the birth of a girl in the family (the arrival of a woman into the family).

• For those who are ill – recovery.

Very often the full moon is dreamed of as a symbol of a woman, wife, mother, beloved. If light emanates from it and falls on you or your home, or the moon “flies up” to you, the dreams foretell the birth of a girl in the family. Usually these dreams are seen by close relatives of the future parents. Or by the future parents themselves.

If something happens to the moon in the dream: it falls to the ground, explodes, splits, then the dream means that something will soon happen to the woman in your family as well. She may leave you or the home (for example, for unmarried women this may show marriage – the woman will “be grounded,” “land.”

If the moon fell and split, exploded and perished as a planet – in reality something unpleasant may happen to the woman (this is indicated by the consequences of what happened to the moon in the dream). In such dreams one must take into account the combination of symbols and pay attention to accompanying signs.

And conversely, if the Moon rose into the sky (this is often seen in dreams), flew up into the sky – the woman will become free (alone in the sky). But in this case, at the time of the dream the woman was in a relationship and a breakup occurred.

Moonlight in a Dream

For sick people, a bright and beautiful sparkling moonlight is a symbol of recovery. Moreover, it does not matter whether the moon in such a dream was waxing, full or waning. The phase of the moon here indicates the period (time of healing) after the illness.

However, a dim, murky, faded moon is a sign of weakness, hopelessness and sometimes death. A pale moon in dreams symbolizes illnesses and diseases of a woman. For businesspeople it may also indicate monetary and financial losses, dangers on the road.

Moonlight dimming right before your eyes is a bad omen. Big problems, sorrows and need lie ahead.

The cold light of the moon is a symbol of a “cold” woman with an icy heart. Insensitivity. It can also indicate frigidity.

Moonlight falling on your head means forgiveness from a woman, which was important to you, and a past misdeed that weighed on you.

If in the dream the moon was pale and dim, but then brightly lit up and began to shine, then expect changes for the better. At the time of such a dream, the dreamer usually has many unresolved problems in real life. Now, however, profit, well-being in the home, and health await you. A transformation from bad to good in dreams is always a very favorable sign.

Waning moon in a dream

• For businessmen, it may indicate a “decline” in income. A downturn in business.

• For lovers, it means the fading of feelings, a cooling in the relationship.

• For those who are ill — recovery (if the Moon was in a positive aspect), and if it was dim — weakness, decline. Events may coincide with the 3rd and 4th phases of the lunar cycle (when the moon wanes).

Moon and stars in a dream

The moon and stars are dreamed of together in cases when success, the achievement of an important goal, and well-being lie ahead of you. It often indicates great material prosperity. Of course, if the stars and moon in such a dream are bright and the sky is clear. All upcoming events in that case will be fateful and will bring happiness into your life.

Otherwise, changes will follow and your life will change greatly; however, this will bring changes for the worse into your life. A long period of need, deprivation, illness, and anxieties.

A very large moon in a dream

If you dream of a mysterious and too-large moon, that is, abnormally large, it can mean domestic problems or complications in relationships. A certain excessive influence of either a person or circumstances, as well as emotions (almost complete absorption by them).

A red, bloody, unnatural moon in any manifestation is a sign of great losses, danger (this often concerns a red and bloody moon), misfortune, and illness. In such dreams, pay attention to the characters in the dream — they will be directly or indirectly connected to the event. The place or area from which you saw the moon in your dream also matters.

A dream reflection of the night luminary in water is considered a sign of knowing your own soul. And in simple terms — a sharpening of intuition, a new level of manifestation of latent abilities.

Moon and sun in a dream

The sun and moon simultaneously in a dream is interpreted as a sign of prosperity and wealth. However, most often reports of dreams that came true indicate a “union” of the sun and moon, that is, of a man and a woman. This is a symbol of a union “blessed by the heavens.” Symbolically, the moon is the “wife” of the sun.

And only in exceptional cases can such a dream indicate a man or woman obtaining a position and wealth with the support of an influential patron of the opposite sex. This is the essence of the symbolism of such dreams. This is a very rare category of dreams.

Eclipse of the moon, black moon in a dream

An eclipse of the moon means a serious illness of a woman in the family. If by the end of the dream the moon never appeared, the illness may lead to death.

A black moon in a dream is a symbol of great danger, death from an accident.

Sleepwalkers, flights to the moon

Sleepwalkers in dreams mean troubles and worries, of which there were already enough in the dreamer’s life.

Flights, travels, and life on the moon mean a detachment from reality, an escape from actuality, fruitless fantasies, and empty inventions. The desire and attempt to evade responsibility and cast off the burden of limitations.

Two, three, four moons in a dream

Two moons — this is a situation of choice between events or people that are practically equivalent in their conditions. Often such a situation in life gives rise to conflicts in some people and gives not one chance but two to others. It all depends on the person and their character, and on knowing their goal.

Three moons — may be a symbol of a relationship “triangle.” For example, between women in a family: mother, wife, and daughter. Any variations.

Four moons — a sign of family, home — the “four corners,” travel through four countries, or life in four countries.

If there are even more moons in the dream, it is a symbol of change, of cyclicity. That is, such dream symbolism directly indicates a period that will be accompanied by a complete change of phases as many times as there were moons in the dream. It will contain a complete repetition of rebirth, prosperity, decline, and “death.”

Blue moon in a dream

The symbol of a kitchen means family, personal life. An unfamiliar kitchen characterizes a situation in which at the moment there is no specificity.

A table set with food speaks of the fact that in the future both you and your female friends will have everything going well in the sphere of family and home, and there will also be all kinds of pleasures in life.

The sky in a dream is always the nearest prospect of the future, and almost always this “shows” significant changes.

Everything that appears in the sky in a dream is a predetermination independent of you. The night sky points to circumstances as yet unknown.

The full moon is a symbol of matchmaking and subsequent successful marriage.

Reaching toward the moon, and trying to touch it – this shows your desire to get what you want, that is, to get married and start a family.

The symbol of the full moon is a sign of a big and strong family. Since you ultimately caught the moon, your wishes will come true. You will have a prosperous, strong and happy family.

There is such a concept as the symbol of the blue moon. Rarely, but once or twice a year it happens. So the blue moon and the time of Easter are symbols of time.

A dream about the moon that came true: the sun and the moon reunite

This is just one example out of thousands. The world’s largest database of dreams that came true is collected in our app. There you will find stories that will confirm or refute your guesses.

The story of a participant:

I have a very vivid dream. Night, autumn, I am at the real market of my city, I want to buy beautiful red grapes, the “Moldova” variety. I raise my head up and see the night sky, which is full of beautiful stars, I see how the sun and the moon reunite beautifully. Next to the sun and the moon I see a window, and behind the window there is a lot of light and a certain room there. Behind the window I see 12 apostles and I understand that they want to descend together with Jesus Christ to earth, preparations are underway for the descent to earth. I began to panic, I understand that the end of the world is approaching and I start shouting: “Good people! The end of the world is coming! Come to your senses, Jesus is descending!” But no one heard me and no one paid attention to me.

How the dream came true: The dream was in 2003, and in 2005 I reunited with my husband in Italy. The moon and the sun in the dream. To see stars, to see dreams. Here in Italy many of my dreams came true. If you know, here in Italy there are many relics of saints and apostles. I came to Italy on the eve of Easter, and also before the death of Pope Paul 2, who is considered a holy man. I wanted to come to Italy to earn money, black grapes. By the way, at the moment, when I am shown plots in a dream about work and it is connected with Moldova, then it is my most favorite job, I feel at home, the “Moldova” grape variety. The end of the world is the end of the period of life in Moldova. I have already lived in Italy for 20 years, but at the beginning I had plans for only 2-3 years.

This dream shows how the sun and moon together symbolize the union of a man and a woman. Reunification with my husband in Italy. Stars – for dreams that will come true. Apostles – for the holy places of Italy. The end of the world – the end of the period of life in Moldova. The dream came true two years later.
