Dream book praying prayer in a dream

What it means to dream of praying, prayer: dream interpretation and fulfilled stories

Praying in a dream means asking for help in a difficult moment. Very often people have such dreams at the moment when they really need help and support.

They understand that not everything depends on them, that they need some kind of involvement, the help of external forces, a higher power. Sometimes there is simply nothing left — only prayer and hope for the best.

If you dreamed of a prayer or you yourself were praying, the dream speaks of your need for help. Everything depends on where you prayed and what emotions you felt.

In our app you can check the meaning of any symbol. It contains more than 7000 interpretations that are not on the website. And it also stores the fulfilled dreams of participants, against which you can verify your own dream.

What it means to pray in a dream: the main meaning

Praying in a dream means asking for help in a difficult moment. Very often people have such dreams at the moment when they really need help and support.

They understand that not everything depends on them, that they need some kind of involvement, the help of external forces, a higher power. Sometimes there is simply nothing left — only prayer and hope for the best.

Praying in a dream out of fear is a premonition of trouble, and if in the dream you managed to pray or read a prayer, to ask for help, then in reality there is a very high probability that trouble will pass you by.

Hearing a prayer — you will be asked for help, people will turn to you for support. If from the outside you heard others reading or saying prayers, in reality you will likewise witness other people’s experiences.

You can clarify the details of a dream in the app. It contains more than 7000 symbols, and each one is based on the analysis of thousands of dreams that came true. There is no such database on the website.

Praying to an icon, in church, on your knees

Praying to an icon in a dream means receiving help in a specific matter. It is important to remember which icon it was. This will be the key to deciphering the dream, including a hint for you – where to seek help.

Since icons have their own patrons, and the subconscious “shows” through them the area of the problem: health, children, life, and so on.

Praying in church in a dream means finding yourself in a difficult life situation and asking for help. If there were alarming, threatening signs in the dream, the dream means that at least for now there will be no help.

In such dreams, by the meaning and plot of the dream, you can immediately determine what the cause is. Continue deciphering the dream.

If you were praying in church, felt calm in it, and everything around was beautiful, help will come, everything will improve.

Praying and crossing yourself in a dream means asking intensely for help, as a rule, in almost hopeless situations.

Praying on your knees means repenting of some wrongdoing, understanding that punishment awaits. And asking for mercy.

All the nuances of this symbol are revealed in our app. There is a complete dream book database there – more than 7000 symbols. We even have dreams that are not in any dream book, because these are not made-up symbols, but real ones that came true.

A dream about prayer that came true: the home of Matrona of Moscow

This is just one example out of thousands. The world’s largest database of dreams that came true is collected in our app. There you will find stories that will confirm or refute your guesses.

A participant’s story:

I’m driving my car in some village among connected courtyards, through which the road itself passed. At the end of the fence of one of the houses on the left side stood a car.

It was deliberately partially blocking the way. That car was of an old, battered appearance, light green in color.

There was a feeling that it had been placed there on purpose so that because of it I couldn’t drive any further.

Seeing this, I got out of the car, grabbed the car with my hands by the roof ledge, and tilted it onto its left wheels. At the same time, I didn’t feel any effort to achieve this.

After that, by reducing its length, I pulled it through the narrow passage.

In the dream I felt that this maneuver of mine caused great surprise among those who had blocked the way and were watching me. Figuratively, they seemed to be saying: “You could do that?”

I drive into some final courtyard, on whose territory there was a simple one-story house. At this house there was a small line of people (about 5 people).

The last in this line was a rather plump police officer. Seeing him, I became frightened inside. For some reason I decided that, having driven through the car that had blocked the road, I had somehow broken the law.

To my surprise, the police officer’s reaction was quite restrained. He only said, pointing to the dirt shoulder to the left of the fence, that the car needed to be parked there.

I find myself in this queue and realize that these are pilgrims to the house of Matrona of Moscow. I don’t remember how I got through the queue, because the next fragment of the dream takes place already in the house. It was a small one-story building, whose purpose I could not clearly understand. There was a feeling of a kind of church, but at the same time it was an ordinary house. At first I went after the other pilgrims to the wall. It was directly to my left.

There were certain things there that other people who had entered before me were praying to.

When they moved away, I went up to this wall, but I did not see any clear icons or holy images. There was simply some kind of utensils there (the image of which seemed blurred to me in the dream).

Inside me, surprise arose, like, what are these people praying to?

To my right I saw a reliquary with the relics of Matrona. It even seemed to me that there were two of them (and Matrona herself felt alive in them). Later in the dream only one appeared.

Three women who had been standing in front of me approached it. They sat down beside it on three sides (in front, to the left, and to the right of the reliquary, which stood perpendicular to me).

After sitting down, they began to behave very cheerfully and talk, addressing the relics of Matrona. Besides that, they laid out on the floor some papers of religious content.

They looked like red stickers and small rectangular notes with an image of a crucifix at their top (similar to church notes). Soon the women stood up and left.

My turn came to press myself to the relics.

I began to touch my forehead to the cloth covering the relics, to kiss it. Then for some reason I began to sob. After calming down, I sat by the reliquary.

I noticed that next to her, women had left their pieces of paper. I got a little angry at their ungodly act and began gathering the abandoned pieces of paper into a stack.

After which I placed them on some surface. Essentially, I cleaned up after the pilgrims. That’s where the dream ended.

How the dream came true:

About two weeks before the dream, I had an obsessive desire come out of nowhere to go to Tula for the weekend. (I live in Moscow). I saw the dream right on the eve of the trip.

The first thing I thought was that I needed to go to that very Pokrovsky Monastery, since this saint had appeared in a dream only once over the years of observing dreams.

But at the same time, doubts remained, since the dream felt different. I did not feel deeply encrypted symbolism in it. Rather, it resembled a description of events.

I went online and simply typed the words “Matrona’s house” into the search bar

The search results surprised me. It turned out that she was born and lived the first period of her life in the village of Sebino in the Tula region.

There is a small memorial complex in her honor, as well as the church where she was baptized.

It was also mentioned that this is a place of pilgrimage. After that, I decided not to search for anything else, but to go there right away, since all of the above did not seem like some kind of coincidence to me.

I successfully reached this village, visited the church and other places of pilgrimage. I should say right away that the house in which Matrona was born has not been preserved.

The location of its site is marked by a fenced area with a monument and a corresponding plaque.

This baffled me somewhat, since I had expected to see it. At the same time, I noticed a small single-story log house to the right of the church.

The sign said that it was a museum in memory of Matrona of Sebino (Moscow). I decided to go in there as well.

How great was my amazement when I saw in this house-museum exactly what I had seen in my dream. In its left part were household items from the time of Matrona’s life (the image of the utensils from the dream, before which prayers were said, became clear).

On the right, there is an iconostasis interspersed with photographs and images of Matrona.

When I entered the house, on the right side there were benches, and on them sat pilgrims, mostly women, who were listening to the story of the museum’s caretaker about Matrona’s life.

I stood on the left side behind them (the combinative symbolism of the image of three pilgrims — pilgrims plus three women who run the museum). During the story, it was said that, unfortunately, there are practically no surviving belongings of Matrona in the museum.

With the exception of two — a lantern in which a lampada burned on the grave of the righteous woman for 46 years (which, after the transfer of the relics, was preserved in this museum), and also one photograph of her taken during her lifetime in a frame, which Matrona herself often held in her hands (it was handed over to this museum by a close friend who was with Matrona throughout the last years of her life).

According to the woman who runs the museum, one day nun pilgrims came to the niche who refused to listen to the description of the saint’s life.

One of the nuns, among a large number of photographs, chose the very one that had been given to the museum by Matrona’s friend. She looked at it for a long time, even peered at it closely, raised her hands to it, and then asked: “Where did you get this photograph?”

The museum curator told the story of how this photograph had been obtained and, in turn, asked why the nun had singled out this photograph from among all the other images. To which the nun replied: “Don’t you feel that warmth emanating from this photograph?”

Thus, in this place there turned out to be two sacred relics, which I saw symbolically in the image of her relics.

After spending almost half a day in this place, I set off back to Moscow.

As I was approaching the Moscow region, ahead of me on the highway a slowly moving car had gathered a line of cars behind it.

The road is two-lane. Oncoming traffic and a solid dividing line made overtaking extremely difficult.

People overtook however they could. My turn came too.

I overtake the slowcoach and complete the maneuver already in the section of the road where the solid line had ended. Almost immediately after that I see a traffic police officer, who with his baton indicated the need to stop on the shoulder. I comply with his demand.

But, remembering the dream, this situation only made me laugh and even brought me a certain joy — after all, I had seen this even before I set off to go anywhere.

I think my appearance greatly confused the representative of the law.

I suppose he doesn’t often see a person who gets out of a car and sincerely rejoices at him. In any case, it was quite clearly visible on his face.

The most interesting thing is that it was the very same policeman from the dream.

— about 37 years old, just as plump. I hand him the documents and, after checking them, he starts telling me about my violation. I gladly agree with him and immediately admit my fault.

This confuses him even more. For some reason he takes out the traffic rules and tries to point out the clause I violated. I stop him and assure him that I am ready to bear the full severity of the punishment. Apparently, he is not used to this. He is puzzled. He asks where I am coming from.

I say, — From Sebino. To which he asked what kind of place that is. I told him as it is. He asked why I went there specifically. I decided not to lie and told him as it is: “I saw it in a dream.”

After my words he thought for a bit and said that he himself is waiting for his vacation,

to go to Matrona in Moscow, because his father is seriously ill (I will note that in the dream he was sitting in line to see Matrona).

I told him how best to get there and at what time. He wrote me a fine, but for a smaller amount than I had expected, recommending that I not violate the rules and drive at a calmer pace.

This whole situation seemed quite astonishing to me, because usually I am a very calm driver and I have no serious traffic violations (except for three fines for speeding by 10-15 km/h).

As I understood later, the merged courtyards through which the road passed were the settlements I was driving through, because the road passed right through them.

The dream showed: the prayer in the dream coincided with the real situation, when the trip to the holy place was foretold in advance.

Praying, prayer in a dream: what to do after waking up

Dreamed of a prayer? Here is what you should do right after waking up.

Write down the dream while you still remember the details. Where were you praying? To whom? What emotions did you feel?

Think back to whether there is a situation in your life that requires help. The dream may have pointed to exactly that.

Look at where you were praying. In a church – for help. To an icon – for help in a specific matter. On your knees – for repentance.

Pay attention to your feelings. If you felt relief after the prayer – the trouble will pass.

    Hello!
Today my mom had a dream: she is walking from the room into the hallway and feels that there (in the hallway) there is a curse. She begins to pray, and in the room she manages it, but in the hallway – with difficulty – her breath catches. And in the dream she called me and showed me this. And then she continued praying until she woke up.
How should such a dream be understood?
    Thanks in advance.

as it is, she “saw” the curse in an altered state, look for something at home, where she was pointing

        Thank you, we’ll see…
So it turns out to be damage on the apartment, not on mom. That means I can also see it with the help of affirmations.
Recently, I found a trinket in the hallway, clearly not ours; my daughter said a friend gave it to her. My “hackles rose” at this thing, I told her to return it and not take anything like that again.
Some people just can’t live peacefully!
