Violence against a person in a dream means some real violence against their will. Someone will try to force you to do something you do not want to do, but that he himself wants. From the plot of the dream, you can determine exactly what such an action concerns. The characters in the dream will most likely be people without whom the real situation will not happen. Strangers in dreams are people who are “not yet acquainted.”

Violence in a dream is not necessarily physical impact. More often it is psychological pressure, an attempt to subordinate you to someone else’s will. The dream shows that someone is trying to control you, and you should pay attention to this. The book “Prophetic Dreams and Lucid Dreaming” will help you understand the logic of dreams more deeply.
What different plots with violence mean
Violence against you means that someone is trying to force you to do something against your will. You defend yourself, which means you will be able to fight back. You win, which means successful resistance. You lose, which means you will have to submit. Violence against another means that you are trying to impose your will. Violence in the family means pressure from loved ones.
A dream that came true: black smoke and aggression
A participant shared a dream that came true almost instantly. She is in an apartment, cleaning. Black smoke began coming from the furniture, but there was no fire. She opened the balcony to air it out. The smoke was coming from the neighbors.
A woman with a child burst in from the neighbor’s balcony, aggressively minded, baring her teeth. She tried to hit. The participant knocked her to the floor with a light movement, stepped on her throat and asked: “Well, is that enough?”
Realization: from early morning, complaints poured in from a woman at work. She aggressively described what she didn’t like about how the participant works. Remembering the dream, she did not enter into a polemic, she cooled her ardor with a tactful answer. She pushed back, but without a fight.
Dream Come True: The Wolf and Passive Aggression
The participant had a dream. A wolf appears in a school classroom. It is dead, skinned, made into a stuffed animal, but at the same time alive. The wolf climbs, charges like a tank. She retreats facing it between the rows of desks. All the wolf’s teeth have been pulled out, only stumps remain from its fangs.
She strokes its withers, but it continues to advance. It doesn’t attack, but looks inadequate. She points it to the meat, the wolf pounces and begins to lick it.
Realization: the wolf is a person who provoked her into open conflict. He made veiled insults: “This is such a simple question that it’s even strange to ask it, I have a completely different level of knowledge.”
She retreated, tried to steer the dialogue toward the given topic, ignoring the passive aggression. Then she stopped answering so the person would calm down and back off. The wolf was without teeth — it couldn’t cause real harm.
Dream Come True: Forced into Marriage
The participant’s niece had a dream. She is 16 years old. Mom and aunt found someone for her, and she has to get married. She didn’t want to greet the groom’s relatives. She doesn’t like the dress. She says she won’t marry a man she doesn’t love, but she is being forced.
She looks at herself in the mirror and cries black tears. She hasn’t seen the groom, she only knows that he is tall and fair-haired. She decided that she would divorce him. At the registry office she is silent.
Answer: a wedding in a dream is an event that predetermines one’s future fate. The dream shows that her fate has been decided for her regarding the choice of a future profession. Her parents influence her choice of where to enroll.
She is stressed, she does not want to do what has been decided for her. The circumstances are normally standard, but this is not her path. She feels bad because of it, she is already crying in advance. Parents should take this as a warning. She will drop out of her studies anyway and only lose years.
What to do if you dreamed of violence
If you dreamed of violence, ask yourself: who is trying to impose their will on me? What am I doing against my will? If you are defending yourself, you will be able to fight back. If you win, you successfully resist. If you lose, you will have to submit.
