What Clouds Mean in Dreams: Dream Interpretation and Stories That Came True
Clouds in a dream are related to the symbolism of the sky. If you dreamed of clouds, the dream points to upcoming events that will come “from outside” and do not depend on you.
A database collected over years of the project’s work helps to sort out the details. In our app there are more than 7,000 symbols that are not publicly available. The website has only a fragment. It also contains stories from participants whose dreams came true in reality.
What Clouds Mean in a Dream: The Main Meaning
Clouds are indirectly related to the symbolism of the sky, but this determines the essence of the symbol itself. Everything a person sees in a dream in the sky is upcoming events that will come “from outside” and do not depend on the person.
They are also often important events. Everyday coincidences do not come through such symbols in dreams. The more significant the signs that appear in the sky in dreams, the more substantial the changes will be.
You can check all the details of the dream in the app. There are more than 7,000 symbols, and each one is determined based on analytics of thousands of the project’s dreams that came true. The website does not have such a database.
White and Dark Clouds in a Dream
In dreams about clouds, it matters what they were like. If the clouds were snow-white and beautiful, the events will be joyful and pleasant for you.
Heavy and dark clouds mean worries due to unfavorable circumstances. If in your dream you only see them from a distance, but they do not reach you, it means the event you fear will pass you by.
Clouds quickly running across the sky indicate rapidly developing events over time.
The expanded meaning of this symbol, with all the details, can be found in our app. It contains the project’s complete dream book database – more than 7000 symbols, which is not available publicly. We even have dreams that are not in any dream book, because these are not invented symbols, but real ones that came true.
Flying in the clouds and walking on clouds in a dream
Flying in the clouds, walking on clouds – escape from reality, “castles in the air,” fruitless dreams.
Sometimes clouds that appear only at a certain time of year (like silver ones, for example) can also be an additional symbol of time.
A dream that came true about a black cloud over the market
This is just one example out of thousands. The world’s largest database of dreams that came true is collected in our app. There you will find stories that will confirm or refute your guesses.
A participant’s story:
Around April I had this dream. In the city where we used to live, I am standing with my friend near a store. I see a black cloud appear over the pavilions at the market. It is moving toward the market. The rain is about to pour. And people are walking around and not noticing it.
I say to my friend: “Let’s quickly go to the pavilion, we’ll hide from the rain there.” We hurried to the building. But the rain poured down before we got there. However, we managed to hide under the awning between the market stalls. So only a couple of drops fell on us. All the other people, who hadn’t seen the clouds, got soaked through.
How the dream came true:
About 5 months later, my mom calls me and shows me online a fire at our market. Because fire trucks couldn’t get through, most of the shops at the market burned down.
A little later, my friend sent me a video where, from that very spot where we had stood in the dream, by the store, I saw that same black cloud. But it was only smoke from the fire.
The people really were soaked through — enormous stress from the losses they suffered, and some were completely ruined.
As for my friend and me, this, as I understand it, is a kind of beacon for us.
The dream showed: the black cloud in the dream coincided with the real situation, when smoke from the fire covered the market, and people suffered huge losses.
Clouds in a dream: what to do after waking up
Dreamed of clouds? Here’s what you should do right after waking up.
Write down the dream while you remember the details. What were the clouds like? Snow-white, dark, heavy, quickly moving?
Remember whether you watched them from the side or whether they reached you. If from the side, the event will pass you by.
See whether you were flying in the clouds. If so, it’s worth returning to reality and leaving fruitless dreams behind.
Pay attention to whether there were people nearby. If so, they may be connected to upcoming events.
You can check the full interpretation in the app. The algorithm takes into account all the details of the dream and shows a complete picture. It also has over 7000 symbols that you won’t find on the website.
And if you want not just to read about dreams, but to induce them, the app has practices and affirmations. They help you receive prophetic dreams and answers to important questions.
Conclusion
Clouds in a dream are a symbol of upcoming events. They come “from outside” and do not depend on you.
If the clouds were snow-white, expect joyful events. If they were dark, there may be worries due to unfavorable circumstances.
For an accurate understanding, a database with verified meanings is needed. It was collected over the years, and every symbol in it is confirmed by real dreams that came true. All of this is available in our app. It has over 7000 symbols and practices for prophetic dreams. The website has only a small part of the dream dictionary.

Thank you so much! And it’s great that all of us here (the site’s visitors) have also met “our own kind”!! The very understanding that we are not alone gives energy and confidence. Once again THANK YOU for your research. I hope that I, too, will be able to contribute my bit to the common cause. But for now I’m just learning))
Hello!
The dream today was quite short, but vivid.
I’m walking with someone through a city, just a concrete jungle – buildings, tall buildings. All gray and faceless. But there are fewer of them, more greenery and trees. With a companion (I think it’s a man, but I’m not sure exactly) we seem to be walking together, but each in our own thoughts. And when we come out of the “glass and concrete” – we have some common topic. And we notice a cloud. Actually, there are several of them, but one stands out – it’s close and low. White, with a slight tint. A man of about 50 climbs up to it on a veeeery big step ladder and starts brushing dust off it with some kind of brush. And it becomes cleaner and whiter.
The unreality of what was happening made me realize it was a dream, and I tried to become lucid in it and speak to that man – and I woke up. I’m very sleep-deprived right now, I think that’s the reason. I’ll try “Source Search” today. Without my usual dreams, I feel somehow off…
Such nonsense, turning logic inside out, is dreamed when the desire to become conscious in a dream has “accumulated,” and without any prior intention. So the mind seeks out illogical plots, sometimes unrealistically beautiful, sometimes frightening, in order to find the way out: “Oh, this is a dream, thank God!” Keep trying, keep trying. You’re doing it beautifully, it’s a joy. We also have three extraordinary girls here (I mean visitors to the site).
Thank you, I will try) before it happened spontaneously somehow from time to time… but when I really set my mind to it, it doesn’t always work out. Maybe I try to hold control too tightly and overdo it.
But now I have gained confidence in my abilities – especially since I’m not the only one like this))
Sorry, I just can’t help sharing! I remembered my first lucid dream (at age 7-8).
I heard somewhere (or read in a dream dictionary) that if someone gives you something in a dream, then something pleasant will happen in reality too. And vice versa, giving something away in a dream means loss, even if it’s small. So, I got inspired.
That same night, I dreamed of a dragon, huge, dark green. I got scared, but somewhere the thought slipped in that dragons don’t exist, so I must be sleeping, and there’s nothing to fear. I approached it, said hello, and asked for a gift (somewhere the thought was sitting that a gift in a dream is a good sign!!)
It gives me a box (I still remember it!) in purple paper with a green ribbon and bow. I took the box but didn’t unwrap it—I knew it was mine and that was that.
I want to fly on the dragon, but that’s impossible, right? And then it offers on its own!
(Now that I’ve remembered all these sensations, I’ve been unable to calm down for an hour)
We flew somewhere, it was such freedom! And then it says to me: “you can fly yourself too”
I tried and I flew… and the dragon and I flew racing, and below, far away, the earth, houses, people… Then we flew further, to my village—I was sure I knew the way. And somewhere at that moment I woke up.
In the morning, I told everyone-everyone-everyone about my dream, drew the dragon, and hoped to fly in a dream again, but at school they laughed at me, at home Mom hid the dream dictionary from curious me… in short, a horror for a child’s psyche… (1997-1998, back then people treated this very specifically)
Mom still doesn’t understand me in this regard, so I don’t share. But back then I wanted to sooo much!
Since then, I often remembered my dragon, but there were no dreams for a long time, and then I gradually forgot about the dream. From time to time, I recalled that feeling of freedom and flight, but without repetitions all the way until my teenage years…
Strange that I didn’t remember it earlier… probably it never occurred to me that this wasn’t just a dream, not just a fantasy, but already a lucid dream.
By the way, my daughter (6 years old) also often talks about dreams. Apparently, it runs in our family.
This is why our inner freedom is killed in us from childhood! You literally “immersed” me in my childhood, when I talked about Chernobyl, perestroika, the collapse of the USSR, and everyone smiled mockingly, and then quietly asked me “in public” not to tell such things anymore. I can’t imagine my life without my dreams, and no matter how much they fought me, I just eventually withdrew into myself and didn’t tell anyone about what I see and where I visit. Until I met “my own people.” And the family thing is a fact, especially along the female line – to women, or male line – to men, the ability is passed on.
Great dream, especially for a child.
Knowing what such dragons mean, I wish that they would teach all our children to fly and give them gifts of fate!!!
I am glad that a circle is forming, at least from a few people. Later we will be able to negotiate and solve some issues together; for our group, this is the main goal of the project. The more oneironauts there are, the higher the level of awareness. I will tell everything later as we go along.
I also wanted to clarify – is there a newsletter now? I have never received anything by email, even though I subscribed. And also, lately it often “doesn’t let me” onto the site (“you are temporarily blocked”). Maybe it’s because my smartphone is in for service, and the replacement one has a different software version… I don’t want to miss new comments, announcements, and so on.
Thank you
No, it shouldn’t be like that. They’ll check both the mailing and the access now.
