Putting clothes on yourself in a dream means “stepping into an image.” This is one of the most important symbols in dreams. New, expensive clothing that suits you, which you didn’t just see but put on yourself, is a very good sign.
If you want to check your symbols, go to the dream interpretation app. It contains thousands of real examples from our project.
Putting clothes on someone else in a dream means your help to a person or assistance in a matter for the one you are dressing. The book “Prophetic Dreams and Lucid Dreaming” will help you understand the logic of dreams more deeply.
Lots of beautiful and expensive clothing is a sign of opportunities that will soon be yours. And you will be able to take advantage of them if in such a dream you have, buy, or take such clothing for yourself.
Trying on or fitting clothes are signs of plans or changes that are possible to carry out.
A participant’s dream that came true: someone else’s shoes and a breakup with a friend
A project participant shared a story. In her life there was a close friend, with whom misunderstandings in the relationship began. She dreamed that she was at her friend’s house, and she urgently needed to go somewhere. The friend gives her her shoes – black boots. She doesn’t want to put them on, but she can’t find her own shoes, and she urgently needs to go. She puts on the boots, walks, and right along the way they fall apart – first the heel comes off, then they tear in different places.
She struggled for a long time, but couldn’t take it off. As a result, their paths diverged. Later, a mutual friend said: the friend couldn’t cope with her own envy. She had always envied her character.
A dream come true: a torn skirt and leaving a job
Another story from the same participant. She dreamed that a colleague from work tore her skirt. In reality, this colleague “drank a lot of blood.” She left that job only because of her. Moreover, she didn’t leave alone – three people left at once, with a week between each. The director tried to persuade them, but they all left.
Grandmother’s prophetic dream: dead doves and war
The participant told of her grandmother’s dream; she had seen prophetic dreams since childhood. At 16-17, the grandmother dreamed that dead doves fell from the sky like stones onto people, and the sky couldn’t be seen. When the war began in ’41, her mother said: “So your dream has come true.” The grandmother’s husband was killed in the war.
The daughter’s dream: dead seagulls and a warning
The participant’s daughter, 16.5 years old, told of a dream. People went outside, the embankment was full. Seagulls in the sky, many, the sky couldn’t be seen. They raised a cry, and then began falling like stones, dead, onto people. She asked the night keeper to clarify the dream. And again she saw falling dead seagulls covered in sores, with blood from their mouths. The keeper gave an umbrella and a raincoat so that a seagull wouldn’t fall on her. He said that misfortune would come to those families.
A dream about Putin, a bear and ration cards
The participant shared a dream she had 4 years ago. People were laid face down on the ground, hands behind their heads. A soldier’s boot pressed on the neck of those who resisted. Recently she returned to this dream: the whole ground was covered with people, face down. From the sky, people were shot at randomly. She covered her daughter with her leg, but she was still hit – a scratch on her shoulder.
A large broad-shouldered man descended from the sky. She heard: “This is for the fact that you have forgotten about the war. You don’t tell the children about the war.”
In another dream she saw: on the country’s main stool sat a bear. Around it – all the other rulers. And another bear stood. The armchair was not Putin’s, but the one on which Putin sat high up above.
What these dreams mean
These dreams show several important things. First, clothing in a dream always indicates status, position, role. A torn skirt – to the destruction of status at work. Someone else’s shoes – to an attempt to take someone else’s place, which ends in collapse. Second, prophetic dreams can be passed down through generations – the grandmother’s dream about doves came true, and a similar dream came to the granddaughter. Third, dreams about rulers and war are not literal predictions, but a reflection of collective fears and anxieties.
What to do if you dream about clothing
If you dream about clothing, pay attention to its quality. New, beautiful – to success. Old, torn – to losses. Someone else’s, which you put on – to the fact that you are taking on someone else’s role. Remember: to dress in a dream – to enter into an image. What that image is – is for you to decide.
