If you yourself stepped into the abyss in a dream

If a person in a dream stepped into the abyss themselves, it means that it was their actions that led to such negative consequences not only in life, but also in their future fate. That is, not only the cause-and-effect events of the past, but also the future as a result. The events that follow this dream in reality will mean the complete collapse of their life.

By the consequences of the fall, one can understand the outcome of this situation. But as a rule, falling into the abyss brings irreparable or almost irreversible consequences.

If you did not fall into the abyss

If a person ultimately did not fall, did not step into the abyss, and no one pushed them, in real life this will mean that they walked along the edge of the abyss, but trouble passed them by. This is also the second positive aspect, which actually means that the person was able to avoid very bad, unfortunate events in their life.

The edge of the abyss for your enemies

The edge of the abyss or your enemies falling into it means that in reality you can forget about them. They will definitely have more important things to deal with than you.

A Dream About an Abyss That Came True: Steps and a Broken Staircase

This is just one example out of thousands. The world’s largest database of dreams that came true is collected in our app. There you will find stories that will confirm or refute your guesses.

A participant’s story:

During the period when I told my husband that I wanted a divorce, a period of scandals and pleas on his part. A very emotionally vivid dream.

I enter a house with some young woman, where I lived at the time, where my husband’s apartment is. We walk up the steps; there is no elevator. The walls are peeling, scraped bare, everything is very gloomy, I feel oppressed, the situation weighs on me, and also—a feeling of total loneliness. And then the steps break off. Below is a huge, deep abyss.

To go up, to the apartment, I have to use the fragments of the staircase that stick out of the wall here and there. The distance between them is large. Climbing up them is impossible, I understand that I will fall into the abyss. It is very frightening, and I understand that I will not reach my husband’s apartment.

The woman, however, decides to go; she is in a coat and carrying a shopping bag. I understand that she has a chance to get to her own home, she can make it along the fragments. But I—no way. I leave the house with a feeling of emptiness, but also of relief that I remained alive.

How this dream came true:

When I woke up, I realized that my husband would not give me part of the apartment. He would offer such terms that I would not be able to meet. In life, that is exactly what happened. My husband offered to sign over half of the apartment to me in exchange for two years of living together. I realized that such a price—two years of my life—I would not be able to pay, I would fly into the abyss.

That family already drained all the life out of me. I left, I didn’t fight for the apartment and property in court, I just left. Of course, after so many years of marriage there is both emptiness and loneliness, but it’s much easier for me to live this way than the way I lived in the marriage.

The dream showed an abyss as a symbol of collapse. The steps broke off – the path to my husband’s apartment was closed. The fragments of the staircase – unrealistic conditions. And the relief upon waking confirmed: leaving was the right thing.
