Cutting something in a dream means “to cut off” and symbolizes the desire to divide, or to “draw a line” between “before” and “after.” In that case, it concerns relationships with someone. That is, you need to take into account the context of the dream and what was cut, as well as – from what.
Cutting or slicing something with a knife – foretells conflicts, quarrels, and often a breakup of relationships.
Cutting into pieces – sharing.
Cutting with scissors – foretells disagreements, however trimming or snipping something useful with scissors – foretells profit and income.
Cutting raw meat – foretells unexpected troubles, may be an indication of an accident.
Cutting sausage – foretells income, good earnings.
Cutting vegetables: onion – a sign of emotional turmoil, sorrow and tears, cabbage – foretells disagreements, quarrels between close people, tomatoes – foretells pleasures, and for the sick – recovery (a very good dream symbol), cucumber – foretells healing, lettuce – foretells disputes between relatives, garlic – foretells squabbles, quarrels and a scandal, cutting and eating carrots – foretells recovery, cutting mushrooms – foretells purchases, acquisitions.
Cutting fish means that a profitable business or project will be brought to an end, all accounts will be closed, everyone will be paid off, and the participants in the affair will go their separate ways.
Cutting bread – quarrels with relatives over property or money.
Cutting a cake – often dreams about dividing the profit or income received.
If in a dream you were cutting cheese, the dream means that you will have to share your income.

A Dream About Cut-Off Legs That Came True
I dream of a man from the internet. In my neighborhood, near a store, he’s lying in a wheelchair with his legs cut off all the way to the pelvis. I’m standing next to him. And he looks at me, so joyful. He says: “Well, you see, I’ve come to you.” I look at him with pity, but I’m thinking: “And what am I supposed to do with you like this now.” I felt kind of sorry for him, I think, I’ll take him home for now, I can’t just leave him here. Then I’ll decide what to do next.
Fulfillment
At first she thought the dream was about him, that things weren’t going smoothly for him and maybe he had problems. She even asked if everything was all right with him. The next day in the evening her mother called and told her that she wouldn’t make it in time. She understands that her trip is cancelled, because there’s no one left to leave the children with.
About a week and a half later the trip unexpectedly worked out after all. She traveled through Voronezh both there and back, but the man never came to meet her. Even though he promised and seemed to want to.
Now, when everything has cooled down, she understands how many dreams she had during the period of communication with him. All the dreams indicated only that she was being lied to and that nothing would come of them. Now she takes what her subconscious says seriously.
Severed legs in a dream symbolized that the man would not be able to come to her. He is “legless” — he cannot move, he cannot get there. The dream came true — the meeting did not take place.
A dream that came true about a haircut in a park by graves
I dreamed that I was walking through a park at night, and I was a little scared. Then it became brighter, as if the time of day was changing. In that same park, I pass by two graves. In them, buried up to their heads in the ground, are two living girls (not the living dead, but normal living people), and next to them stands a third girl — their friend.
I realize that these girls simply dug up old graves for some strange entertainment of their own, and I think, what kind of vandalism is this, there is nothing sacred left.
As I pass by them, I can’t hold back and say to them: “You’re crazy.” And then the third girl, who was standing next to her friends in the graves, runs up to me, grabs me by the hair, and starts cutting it, beginning from the ends of my hair, while saying something like I needed it fluffed up.
I feel the hair becoming different, it’s hard to explain, but it’s as if the structure of the hair begins to change. I try to free myself from her, but I can’t. Then I woke up.
Interpretation
Cutting hair in a dream often means limitations, a change of lifestyle and worldview. The girls in the graves are something from the past that should have stayed there. The third girl, the one cutting the hair, is a person or situation that forces her to change. Graves as entertainment — someone is not taking the past seriously, not taking seriously what should be dead.
The dream may indicate that someone is trying to change her worldview, to make her look at things differently. Perhaps this is connected with a return to the past (dug-up graves) and the need for change (cutting hair).
Dream about poisonous rain and white suits
I dreamed that people locked me and other people in the work building for some experiments of their own. By some miracle I manage to escape, but because of a sense of duty—that I had to save the others—I decided to return. The others were almost all the residents of the city, a great many people. I walk through the city, the city of my childhood, and toward me come people who work on the experiment.
The people are dressed in white hazmat suits, with hoods, masks, gloves—full equipment—walking and spraying from their little cans a plague agent, antiseptic or pesticide or something else—poison, to kill all plants, all insects, all animals, all living things—to create an exclusion zone around the people in the building.
I want to turn back, but ahead in the wall of rain from the spray of the poisonous agent I see my 2-3 girlfriends; they are also going to save [people]. Somehow it feels easier because of their example—if they went, then I’ll manage too, and it’s also awkward to act like a coward—I walk forward.
The understanding comes that the poison kills small animals; it will harm a person, but cannot kill. I thought about the liver, that the poison will ruin the liver. The people with the sprayer were spraying the poison upward in a little fountain, as if imitating rain.
In the dream I didn’t understand this moment, why they were doing it that way. The sprayed agent got on my hair, face, and clothes with poisonous rain. A moment of panic—the poison covered my eyes and nasal passages with a film, I couldn’t breathe, then I calmed down, I breathe normally, I wake up.
Interpretation
The dream reflects the need to kill something within oneself in order to move forward. The plague, killing all living things around, to prevent passage to the work building — is the same as cutting out the heart of the man from the previous dream in order to defeat oneself.
The poison that kills small animals but only harms a human — these are emotions that must be lived through. The film over the eyes and nasal passages — a temporary loss of orientation, panic, but it passes. Rain of poison — purification through pain.
Dream about perfume and new underwear
In another dream, I bought perfume in a store, took it without looking, then decided to smell it and exchange it if needed. The scent was a cool floral, I thought that cloyingly sweet wouldn’t suit me, but coolness was just right, I sprayed some on, and went to look for new underwear.
Interpretation
Recently she actually fell in love with a new acquaintance, what they call, without looking, with the first suitable one. Then she decided to fall out of love. Right now she is in the process of evaluating her feelings. It turns out that soon she will sort out her feelings and will already be busy trying to start a relationship.
Perfume — these are her feelings. A cool floral scent — she chose not emotional but calm love. New underwear — a new stage in her personal life.
