What a neck means in a dream: interpretation according to the dream book and fulfilled stories

A neck in a dream symbolizes power, status and position in society, the ability to manage (since it is the neck that “turns” the head). Often dreams in which there is some emphasis on the neck contain information that someone is sitting on it. This means that the person literally has dependents. Although they may pretend that this is not so and continue to sit there.

If you want to check your symbols, go to the dream interpretation app. There, thousands of real examples from our project have been collected.

If the neck hurts, it means the person in life is very tired of fulfilling their duties or obligations. A broken neck means the loss of opportunities that existed previously. Here, just as for all other symbols of the human body, the rule of the “physiological aspect” applies.

That is, in dreams a person may simply see certain problems with their body. In this case, with the neck. Therefore, it is better to immediately rule out such a variant and only then interpret the dream as symbolism. The book “Prophetic Dreams and Lucid Dreaming” will help you understand the logic of dreams more deeply.

What different plots with a neck mean

A fragile, thin, weak neck is a sign of weakness in solving issues, vulnerability to problems. A thick, strong and healthy neck is a symbol of strength, a solid position, often of power.

If in a dream your neck is bigger or thicker than in reality, and you noticed this in the dream, the dream points to happy life changes. To the strengthening of material prosperity and position in society.

To sit on someone’s neck means to live at someone else’s expense, to be a dependent. To be forced to owe someone or to take part in solving someone else’s problems. Kisses on the neck are a sign of mutually beneficial relationships. To embrace by the neck means to desire patronage, help and participation, beneficial cooperation.

A cross on the neck in dreams signifies the so-called line of fate. Certain events in the life of a specific person. The cross may be dreamed of in cases where some important events will follow in the near future.

A chain on the neck in dreams symbolizes a connection with a certain person and a direct or indirect dependence at the same time. Here the dependence manifests itself in certain obligations toward each other. Most often, chains on the neck in dreams indicate spiritual, blood or family ties.

Beads on the neck in a dream symbolize unexpected news or changes in relationships with some person. Most often, these are not loved ones, but people with whom you are close in one way or another, and who in turn are not indifferent to you.

Beads made of simple stones are a symbol of a yoke on the neck, of relationships and obligations that will weigh on you incredibly heavily. Any animals, birds or reptiles on the neck that pose a threat mean the desire of enemies to cause harm, to deprive you of position or status. From the plot of such a dream, you can immediately see whether they will succeed or not.

A headrest on a train is a symbol of comfort for the neck. The neck holds the head, and the head is thoughts and direction. A broken headrest means that comfort in movement will be disrupted, the direction of thoughts will change, the route will be adjusted.

A dream that came true: a deceased grandmother on the neck

A participant shared a dream. She dreamed of her deceased grandmother, as if she were alive, cheerful and joyful. She was talking and climbed onto the participant’s neck. Sitting on her neck, she sang and danced. It wasn’t that it was heavy—surprisingly, she was light—but the participant felt that it was still wrong to behave that way on someone else’s neck.

Then the grandmother seemed to run out of steam and took to her bed. She and her closest relatives put her in the hospital, understanding that she would no longer pull through and would die. Everyone unanimously agreed that this was the most correct course of events, that the very time had come for all of it.

The dream came true almost literally. Starting from May 1st, as in the dream at the May Day demonstration, a whole chain of events began to occur in her life, one after another, opening her eyes to how many people were sitting on her neck. She indeed felt no burden, while people sat and enjoyed life.

It turned out that the deceased grandmother who sat on her neck, sang and danced, was a collective image in the literal sense of the people sitting on her. And who wasn’t there—both from her personal life and from work. They all had to get down, and only after breaking all these ties did she understand everything. The period was very short, just as in the dream, about two weeks.

The grandmother showed what would happen. Although she didn’t understand everything at once, the meaning of the events taking place became clearer—they are not something tragic, but beneficial changes.

A dream come true: girls on the president’s neck

A participant shared a dream. She saw women politicians trying to do the splits. A business skirt was getting in their way. Putin decided to joke with them and showed that they were like one team. The girls were on the president’s neck. The neck symbolizes power, status and position in society. To sit on someone’s neck means to live at someone else’s expense, to have dependents. The president liked that the girl was lying on his neck. The girls were in underwear — naked, beautiful, seductive. In dreams where there are no threatening symbols, this dreams of frank conversations and confession. His words “we stretch” — stretching out the pleasure from one’s status. The dream is a hint that even such a high-status person as the president is first and foremost a man who enjoys manifestations of sexuality.

A dream that came true: the train, the headrest and the change of route

A participant shared her friend’s dream. The dream happened three days ago. The friend and Max jump onto a train. The train is white, high-speed, an electric train. She sees two seats, one has a broken headrest.

She wanted to sit down, but the thought comes that they need to get to two carriages that are supposed to detach and go on a different route. Max jumps out and moves to another carriage.

She wanted to get out after him, but did not make it in time, and her doors pinched her. She still could not understand from the dream who ended up in the right carriages and who did not. In the dream she did not experience bad emotions, neither fear, nor panic, nor abandonment. Just calmly, like an observer.

Interpretation: a dream about upcoming events connected with a journey. Difficulties will arise, changes of route. The headrest broke — the headrest serves for the comfort of the neck during a journey. The neck holds the head, that is, thoughts. The direction of thoughts regarding the journey will be changed.

Literally – route changes. They jump on the train – they will have to travel not by car, but urgently change and buy tickets. In different cars – either the tickets will be for different cars, or in one car, but the seats are separated from each other.

Implementation: right now they are on the road, driving to a recreation area. They are standing on the highway. Due to weather conditions, the highways were closed. The question arises that they will now be turned back to the city. She is texting from the highway, and a friend gives her advice: buy tickets remotely, if there are still any for the commuter train. That is literally what played out – a route change, an obstacle on the road, and most likely they will have to take the commuter train.
