Looking ahead, I should note right away that I have had dreams since childhood, there were periods of intensive study of lucid dreaming, and there were fully controlled dreams. Today, though, there was a dream in which we (I (in my fourth decade), my stepfather, and my mother) arrived there. Gray cloudy sky, and the dacha was destroyed. Not even destroyed, but as if it had been abandoned for many years. Moreover, not only our plot, but the entire garden association. Black crows fly into the broken windows, getting stuck there. Once on the plot, I notice that several featherless chickens with bulging, stupid eyes begin walking past. But among them I see a witcher: black clothing, a medallion, long gray hair. A sort of mixture of Koschei and a sorcerer. A trim figure. Pale skin. A sharp gaze. I hear him tell one of the chickens what will happen after midnight. One of these chickens is his daughter (while all of them except him are identical, even visually ridiculous). Then he ends up next to us. My stepfather extends his hand to greet him, but he does not even react. At the same time, I note that they probably do not do that. He notices me and comes up to me, looking carefully into my eyes. We end up facing each other. He extends his hand to greet me. I feel no aggression toward him, nor from him toward me. I extend my hand to greet him, but notice that instead of a palm he has either a stump or a hook. Then I take his hand above the palm and shake it that way. He was not embarrassed, not offended, and I told him, “it’s the first time, after all” (meaning that it was the first time I greeted someone like that when there is no palm). We look into each other’s eyes with interest. (His are normal, pale, but human.) After that I wake up.
