Continuing the dream about a death curse, where I was supposed to be executed on Victory Day and ahead was night and uncertainty, whether I would survive and whether there is a fate ahead.
I dreamed that, against a background of relative well-being, out of nowhere, I wanted to poison myself – take a lethal dose of clonidine, 60 tablets. The pills were already in my mouth. At the very last moment, I came to my senses that if I took the pills, I would die, and for such a sin I would burn in hell for eternity. I decided to think it over some more and put the pills aside.
I cannot understand whether one should die in a dream, whether it is for the good. In the dream about Victory Day, the execution was definitely not for the good – a shameful death. Today – the sin of suicide; in the dream I understood that it was not allowed.
What is more correct, what is better? The suspension between life and death is a bit unnerving. There was also a thought that the curse implied my suicide – before the curse was lifted, thoughts of suicide were constantly in the background, every day.
Safina, hello. All the reports in which there was an execution were in one way or another connected with subsequent events, when people (these can be any communities united by some characteristic in our life, they can also be officials and superiors in a team; I think that by the time of the dream you will already have assumptions, because such things are dreamed when a person is already experiencing anxiety due to some pressure) outsiders, by any means available to them, “execute, lynch, publicly punish” another person.
Here the main aspect of the symbol is the possibility of punishing while using (or hiding behind) laws, rules, or accepted conventions.
And this is usually not a personal dispute between one person and another.
Victory Day in this case may be either an indication of a period of time (May 9), or a symbolic victory of one of the opponents (the other side in the conflict).
Night and obscurity are almost pure symbols of obscurity, of the uncertainty of the future for the dreamer. Of fear of that future.
To want to poison yourself means a desire to stop a certain way of life. Not in a broad sense, this concerns some specific aspect of your life, something weighs on you, you cannot move forward, find a way out for yourself, and you want to no longer try to look for options, but simply to give up “this” life of yours. Then you still decide that you have to endure, and not give up. Here social and religious attitudes and models of behavior “switch on,” and not the inner voice.
I cannot, based on the description of the dreams, draw an exact conclusion – whether the events are connected to each other, or in any case whether it is one and the same or not. Indirectly, of course, there are overlaps and connections. But this is very conditional, because the object within the events is you. Knowing the state of affairs in reality, I think you will be able to determine the synchronicity of what was seen in the dream and in life. The dream about the execution is a premonition of future events. The second is your decision, but there will be no events. At least – for now.
Regarding the execution. From experience and reports I can tell you that all public executions (in dreams) are a trial for a person, but having lived through such a thing a person becomes stronger. The “louder” the execution, the “greater the glory.” If you were in fact executed, this is a public lynching, but the victory in the end will be with the executed one. As for the severity of the experience – it is hard, but the experience for life is hard to overestimate.
Thank you very much. So it turns out it would have been better if they had executed him. As it is, things remain up in the air for now. I combined the dreams because the execution was supposed to take place by poisoning with chemical agents, like in the States.
Recently I dreamed that some man, supposedly a former colleague, was pressing my face against a gas pipe, wanting to poison me with gas. I see a smoldering ember nearby on the ground, I toss it farther away so it doesn’t explode. I myself am still thinking, I’m already dead, I can even not breathe anymore, why are they poisoning me? Then the whole dream was about shooting a movie with colleagues in a village, I kept examining the shabby, poor neighboring houses and the people who crowded at their windows, watching with interest as we shot the movie. A strange dream, gray and joyless.
