Returning from the other side…
Stories about resurrection from the dead or near-death experiences (NDEs) always attract attention, since they touch on the themes of life and death, as well as the possibility of life after death.
Those who have experienced such moments often describe these experiences as something surpassing the ordinary, astonishing, and often radically changing their view of the world. Here are several remarkable details and accounts of such cases:
- Clinical death and the “light at the end of the tunnel”
Often in accounts of clinical death, the motif of seeing a light at the end of a long tunnel appears. People speak of a sensation of moving toward this light, which radiates warmth and calm. Many also mention encounters with deceased relatives or beings resembling angels.
- Awareness of leaving the body
There are reports from people that at the moment of clinical death they managed to see their body from the side, as if they had left its confines. They watched the actions of the rescuers and sometimes can even recount such details of what was happening that only the medical staff present at this could have noticed.
- Communication with esoteric entities
Individuals who have experienced near-death states sometimes share stories of encounters with mystical entities. These entities could guide them during their experience, provide recommendations, remind them of unresolved earthly tasks, or offer a choice between returning to life or continuing the journey beyond.
- Acquiring new abilities after returning
There are reports from people who claim to have acquired new skills after their near-death experience. Some of them report such new abilities as foreseeing the future, sensing others’ emotions, or the ability to obtain information from alternative realities.
- Transformation of personal perspective
Often those who have experienced clinical death and returned to life speak of a radical transformation of their worldview. They begin to value each day of life more, focus attention on spiritual development, and strive to benefit others. For some, such an experience becomes a starting point for beginning a spiritual search.
Examples of Stories:
Anita Moorjani: In 2006, Anita was battling terminal cancer and experienced a near-death experience. She told of meeting her deceased father and of gaining an understanding of the connection between her illness and inner fears and negative attitudes.
After this experience, her condition improved noticeably, for which doctors found no explanation and called it a miraculous recovery.
Eben Alexander: This neurosurgeon was initially skeptical about near-death experiences, but his personal experience in a coma forced him to reconsider his beliefs.
Describing his experience, he spoke of ending up in “heaven,” communicating with “angel-like beings,” and seeing astonishing beauty and harmony. This led to a radical change in his ideas about life and death after emerging from the coma.
Howard Storm, a former atheist and teacher, endured a near-death ordeal during an attack of peritonitis. He told of ending up in a dark, terrifying place, after which he was saved by luminous beings.
This episode led him to become a believing Christian and to make the decision to devote his life to serving people.
These stories not only arouse interest, but also provoke serious philosophical reflections on the essence of life and death. They make us reflect on the possibilities of existence after our earthlylife.
A true story and a prophetic dream about returning from the other side
Good evening. In 2015, I spent 2.5 months in the hospital in a coma; the chances of recovery were slim…
After one of the operations, I had a strange dream. I found myself in an American-style subway with very white walls. The lighting was bright, and the platform was deserted, while the tunnels seemed black.
A train pulled up, resembling our old commuter trains – a light bulb was glowing at the front. The train pulled up to the platform and stopped; the doors opened, and I saw carriages with people. I took a step and put one foot into the carriage.
At that moment I realized that I didn’t need to get on that train – I needed to go back up to the surface. I stepped back, and immediately the passengers began grabbing my arms and body, trying to drag me back.
As soon as parts of their bodies were in the light, I was horrified: they were not people, but living skeletons! Instantly the thought came to me of “Pirates of the Caribbean,” where skeletons were illuminated by moonlight.
I broke free from their grasp and ran out of the station up to the surface… And I woke up.
What happened in reality:
So, the next day, or perhaps the same day, a doctor came to see me and showed me a photograph of that very nasty thing they had removed from my abdominal cavity. This horror was a little longer than a surgical instrument, but after its removal nothing threatened me anymore, and I began to recover.
By the way, I want to add about sleep: I was literally shaking in my sleep, I felt it even through the sleep. And it’s also worth noting that at that moment they had begun bringing me out of the artificial coma. Despite the fact that I was still connected to a ventilator and surrounded by all sorts of wires – for питания and drains.
