Dreams about rivals and interference in relationships are among the most anxiety-inducing and emotional. And that is no coincidence. Women really do sense “outsiders” on their territory, and they are right, as experience and history show. Those who understand that relationships are like plants — they need attention and care. Left to their own devices (as in — whatever happens, happens), they turn into that very “grass by the roadside” — which is called a weed.
Men are more inattentive and often notice the “intruder” only when their horns no longer fit through the doorway. Women are more sensitive, and on top of that, they have dreams in their arsenal. In the mental realm (that is, in dreams), everything is visible, and all the information arrives in a timely manner — all that’s left is to react to it. And, of course, to understand what you saw.
If you want to check your symbols, go to the dream interpretation app. It contains thousands of real examples from our project and a complete database of dreams that came true.
The Main Dream Symbols Showing Interference in a Relationship
In our project’s practice, several main symbols have stood out that indicate someone is trying to interfere in your relationship.
A snake in the bed or in the bedroom. A very common symbol. Here we are talking about the “marital bed,” the partners’ bedroom, the couple’s bed. A snake always symbolizes danger, deception, a hidden threat. If it appears in your bedroom — someone is encroaching on your place.
Black lingerie on the bottom. In a dream, it usually appears to the one who is “intruding.” The black color is a symbol of hidden intentions, impure thoughts. If you see a woman in black lingerie, she is a direct rival.
A stranger in your home. You see a stranger in your home in a dream, one who is pushing not only into the bedroom but also into the kitchen. This is most often what is dreamed. A stranger in your space means a stranger in your life.
A stranger in your husband’s car. Likewise a persistent symbol is when someone intrudes into the husband’s (man’s) car. A car is a symbol of movement, decisions, control. If someone is getting into your man’s car, they are trying to influence his decisions.
Soiled underwear of your partner. If your partner has “already gotten dirty,” then in dreams he has “soiled underwear” or trousers (for men), a skirt (hem, for women). This is a direct indicator of infidelity or unfaithfulness.
Direct information. From the plot of the dream it is simply clear that someone is interfering, intruding, pushing in, hovering around and wants to impose themselves. Often this is direct information. In the project’s database of fulfilled dreams there are many reports of realized dreams, when even the person themselves was seen, and their image likewise later repeated in life: height, build (figure), hair color, particular features of appearance, or characteristic mannerisms.
The complete interpretation of all symbols associated with a rival, with all the nuances and details, is available only to members of our dreamers’ club in the app. There, too, are hundreds of real dreams in which these symbols manifested in life.
A dream fulfilled: three episodes about a rival
A project participant shared a series of dreams that, one after another, showed that someone was intruding into her relationship. These dreams are a classic of the genre. My ex and I lived together for several months, and so much happened. Thank God for hint dreams.
First episode. Dark. I’m on a roof, a pack of wolves is chasing me off it. I run down the stairs onto a road. I get stuck in sand. It’s pulling me in up to my waist. Two foxes come up to me. They bare their teeth. I grab them by the scruff and feed one fox to the other. When that one finished eating the other fox, she tossed her aside. And I see my ex kissing that fox on the lips.
Realization. As it later turned out, my ex had two sweethearts. They knew about me, but didn’t know about each other. They found out. In short, my ex was being sly too, at the instigation of one of those women.
Second episode…

A dream that came true: how I identified my rival in a dream
In the dream, my rival appeared as a sorceress.
Good morning. A wonderful dream. I was asking what to do to achieve my goal. I used the affirmation “Green Road.” The question concerned my personal life, but without specifics about any particular man.
I am in the hallway of the house where I spent my childhood. I sense that my mother is inside the apartment. It is dark and damp all around, and there is a smell of mustiness in the air. I stopped and I sense something wrong, anxiety. In the darkness two figures appear, hovering in the air. One is hidden under a hood; she has turned her head away, and a strange feeling of attraction emanates from her – as if her will forces me to submit. This sensation is pleasant; a desire appears to relax and do nothing.
Then I notice her same figure flying over the house, scattering smoke and whispering spells, smoothly descending toward the windows of my apartment – evidently her target is my mother (who in reality has passed away). But this entity cannot pass through me, because I am standing at the threshold of my home. I understand: this is a sorceress. Now I move on to the other figure: this is a young hysterical individual with bulging eyes and bared teeth, thin – obviously a witch.
And then I fly into a rage. Shaking off the sleepy state and growing in size (thanks to my experience with lucid dreams), I find strength in myself. In my hands appears a little packet with armor-piercing cartridges – large heavy metal casings.
And I begin uncontrollably throwing this little packet at the hysterical witch who has blocked me off. She starts shouting: “What are you doing! Why are you giving this to me?! It’s a curse!” Smoke comes out of her; she begins to twist and soon dissolves into the darkness. I quickly turn around to come face to face with the sorceress… but she has already vanished.
I turn to the exit and try to lock the door, but I discover that the lock doesn’t work — the key spins freely inside. “So she managed to pick it,” I thought. Opening the door, I see that the room is dark, but my mother is safe — she is somewhere beyond reach. I close the door with renewed force and feel a surge of stress — I’m shaking. And again the sensation of the same sorceress’s proximity. I begin praying to the saints and suddenly realize: another lock is needed. My hands seem will-less, but I find the right key on the keyring and lock the door with the other lock.
Then I sharply turn to face my pursuer — she is already running away in terror. The disgustingly giggling bitch takes an energy blow from me and flies out through the window. Peering down the stairs, I notice a barrier rope — the passage is blocked.
An open window is visible; these creatures emit a faintly perceptible fear like a trail behind them; it is decided to continue the pursuit without delay despite the rope — I leap out through the window opening. Outside it is sunny and warmth envelops me like a blanket.
I soar above the asphalt faster than an arrow and pause my gaze on something interesting: before me is an iron workers’ gate with a slightly ajar wicket; two figures behind it were hurriedly jumping into a “Niva” car. Their company is joined by a very stout teenager about 15 years old in a black ensemble of clothing; he smiles at me benevolently.
“What a twist!” — I think jokingly: he could outweigh them all with his weight! There’s no point in chasing them — there’s nothing left to do.
People began to stand between me and the technology. I begin to awaken. It seems this is necessary. In my thoughts I send a glowing arrow into the car, and it detonates. I wake up. I fall asleep again. I’m traveling on a train, in a compartment.
My friend in real life is showing the bed linen that they laid out for me on the shelf – a soft blue color, like the heavens, with pure white stripes as decoration. It feels pleasant and dense to the touch. I woke up again.
What happened after that in reality?
I became friends with a colleague at work, since we lived nearby. At first everything went well, but over time I began to suspect that something was wrong with this girl. During the same period, my boss started courting me. At first I gave in to him a little, he was persistent, but then I turned him down. Nevertheless, he continued to show interest in me.
In the end I thought that maybe it was worth giving him a chance, considering his persistence over two years. But it turned out that the new friend had only befriended me in order to get closer to the man and find out information about our relationship. And so they began an affair right in the workplace.
Now about the dream: in it, the witch represented this colleague – the woman I had befriended. Her friend was a sorceress and had no ill feelings toward me; she was merely helping her friend. At first I didn’t understand who was in the hood in my dream, but then I revealed her identity. It turns out that these two were plotting conspiracies and intrigues against me: they were watching me and spreading gossip so that the boss – who was also the object of their interests – would fire me. She pretended to be him by sending letters. Every day they had real chaos.
In the end, the guy was fired for not showing up to work. To this day she has not managed to get rid of that reputation. Her friend lost her husband, she first left her job and then came back. The person who got behind the wheel and ran them over is the same guy. They got what they wanted — after all, I wasn’t trying to keep him for myself. He really did run them over — he constantly drinks himself into oblivion and doesn’t want to work. This friend supports him, and on top of that he went back to his ex-wife. Now he either sobers up at his wife’s place after a drinking binge, or starts new ones at his friend’s place. In short, a complete nightmare.
How to distinguish a warning dream from an ordinary dream
If you had a dream about a rival, it is important to understand whether it is a warning or simply a reflection of your fears. Here are several signs by which you can tell the difference:
Vividness and details. Warning dreams are usually vivid, memorable, with clear details. You may remember the color of the rival’s clothes, her facial features, the surroundings.
Emotions. Warning dreams leave a strong feeling of anxiety that does not go away after waking up.
Repetition. If dreams about a rival repeat — this is a serious signal.
Specific symbols. A snake in the bed, black lingerie, a stranger in the house, your partner’s soiled underwear — all of these are direct indications of interference.
Realization. If within a few weeks after the dream you notice strange behavior from your partner, disappearances, secret phone calls — the dream was a warning.
What to do if you dreamed about a rival
If you dreamed of a rival, don’t panic. Dreams are information, not a verdict. Here are a few steps worth taking.
Write down the dream. Immediately after waking up, write down all the details before they are forgotten. Write down your feelings during the dream and after waking up.
Check the symbols in the dream interpretation app. Every symbol has its own meaning. Check all the details of your dream.
Observe reality. Pay attention to your partner’s behavior in the coming days. Are there any oddities? Has he become more secretive? Does he answer calls in another room?
Don’t accuse right away. Don’t start the conversation with accusations. First observe and gather information. If the dreams repeat, and you see real signs – then you can talk.
Work on the relationship. Dreams about a rival often indicate that there is tension in the relationship. Perhaps you feel that your partner is pulling away. Pay more attention to the relationship, restore the connection.
