Flying in a dream is one of the most vivid and memorable experiences available to a person. Many of us have experienced at least once in our lives this amazing feeling of soaring, when the ground disappears from under your feet and the body becomes light and free.
But what if I told you that flights can not only be experienced spontaneously, but also consciously induced? That flying in a dream is not just a beautiful picture, but a powerful tool for developing awareness, increasing energy, and even physical healing?
In our project, we have collected the unique experience of lucid dreaming practitioners. Flying in dreams is one of the most popular and important topics. They open access to resources that are unavailable in ordinary life. And today I will tell you how to learn to fly in a dream and use this state for personal growth.
What Lucid Dreams and Flying in Dreams Are
Lucid dreams are a state in which you understand that you are in a dream and can control what happens. You are not just an observer – you are an active participant, the creator of your reality. Flying in lucid dreams is one of the most common and powerful ways to manifest this ability.
When you fly in a dream, you are not just moving around. You experience a feeling of weightlessness, freedom, boundlessness. This is a state of access to your inner power. The one who flies in a dream preserves youth and energy. In fact, the lightness and freedom of flight are directly connected to your vitality.
Why are flying dreams so important? Because they give you a sense of control. When you fly, you control your speed, altitude, and direction. This carries over into life – you begin to feel that you can control your destiny.
Moving at speed without the force of gravity in the mental world causes an increase in a special type of energy in the dreamer’s body. This effect reaches the astral, mental, etheric, and physical bodies. The increase in energy strengthens all levels of your being.
Flights help overcome fears. Many people are afraid of heights, afraid of falling. Flying in dreams helps overcome these fears in a safe environment. When you fly, you see the world from a different perspective. You go beyond the framework of habitual perception.
What research says about lucid dreaming
Research shows that lucid dreaming is neither a myth nor esoterica. It is a real state of consciousness that can be trained. For example, at the Stanford Sleep Research Center, it was proven that people in a state of lucid sleep can remember and perform pre-agreed actions, reporting this through eye movements.
One of the characteristic features of lucid dreams is their realism. Everything is perceived especially vividly, and physical sensations – such as flying – are experienced so realistically that you feel the wind, movement, and weightlessness. Researchers confirm: the state of lucid sleep is not only real but also accessible for study.
How to learn to fly in dreams: practical techniques
Reality check method
The simplest way to enter a lucid dream is to start doing reality checks. During the day, ask yourself several times: “Am I not dreaming?” and try to take off. In reality, you won’t be able to lift off the ground — and that’s a signal: you’re not asleep. After 2-3 weeks, your brain will remember this action, and in a dream you will also try to take off. But there you’ll succeed! And at that moment you’ll realize: “I’m dreaming!”
Visualizing flight is another powerful method. When you see birds or a plane, follow their flight. Then, closing your eyes, imagine that you’re flying yourself. Repeat their movement, pick up speed. The more often you practice this visualization, the easier it will transition into an actual dream.
Technique for entering flight
As soon as you become aware of yourself in a dream, you can try to take off. There are several ways.
The first way is a running jump. Start running, wave your arms as if they were wings, and push off.
The second way is taking off from the ground. Stand on the ground, arms at your sides. Imagine that you’re a rocket. Rise slowly. Vibration may appear — that’s normal. Gradually pick up speed and ascend.
The third way is instant travel. Look at a distant point, for example, a window in a neighboring house. Focus on it for 2-3 seconds, then pull yourself toward it. Instant speed, and you’re already there.
How to maintain awareness during flight
The hardest thing in a lucid dream is not waking up from delight. When you first realize that you’re dreaming and start flying, emotions can overwhelm you. That’s normal. Practice is needed to learn to stay calm and not lose control. It’s important to remember: you are safe, you are in control of the process.
To maintain awareness, you can use the spinning technique, like a child’s top, so as not to fall out of the dream. Or look at your hands in the dream – this helps to keep focus.
What to do if you’re scared
If you’re afraid of heights and accidentally rose too high – don’t panic. You can simply glide down, as if on wings. What’s important here is not to fall like a stone, but to slide gently. Nothing terrible will happen – but at first it may be a bit scary.
The fear of heights in a dream is a reflection of your fear of losing your position in life. When you overcome this fear in a dream, you strengthen your confidence in reality as well.
Flying in dreams for health and energy
Flying in dreams has another important property – it strengthens health. The increase in energy during flight leads to the strengthening of all bodies. Therefore, the practice of flying is especially useful for those who want to lose weight, preserve youth and avoid illnesses. When you fly in a dream, your body receives a charge of energy that remains with you even after waking up.
The anchor is what makes the lucid dreaming technique applicable in reality. The most important aspect for which oneironauts value flying in any altered states of consciousness is energy. Movement at speed without the force of gravity in the mental world causes an increase in a special type of energy in the dreamer’s body.
Such an effect reaches the astral, mental, etheric and physical bodies. The increase in the mass of energy of the bodies leads to their strengthening on all levels. For practice in the astral and in dreams, it is necessary to have a dense body. Therefore, if you practice astral projection, the practice of flying will be useful to you.
The practice of flying in dreams will be useful for those who want to lose weight in our physical world. And also for those who do not intend to grow decrepit, old, or sick. I hope you haven’t promised anyone that with age you will decline, just because it happens to everyone? Know this: the one who flies in dreams is young. In reality. Without looking at a passport. The one who flies is the one who has vital energy. If we go the reverse way: learn to fly in a dream and the energy will appear.
I hope you understand that the body’s energy is not limited by the framework of the material world? If the current life situation promises to be difficult, and you wish to come out of it easily, fly.
Daytime task for preparing for flights
The practice of lucid dreaming has a daytime task. It concerns control of attention. During the day you need to pay attention to birds. When you see birds, you must remember the upcoming LD. You must memorize airplanes, as well as the sounds of flying airplanes or contrails in the sky. Also all phrases or words related to flights. This could be information about flights into space, as well as UFOs.
You don’t have to specifically seek out data about all this. It is more preferable that the surrounding reality itself reveals to you the meaning of what is happening. Everything that you hear, see, or learn will be a sign. This way you will be able to understand which type of energy in flight is more characteristic of you at this stage and how close you are right now to the possibility of performing such a task.
Every time the corresponding signal sign appears before you, you must continue the action, but now as your own visualization. When you see birds, follow their flight for some time. And only then, without looking at them, fly yourself in your imagination, repeating their flight.
If you see an airplane, visualize your movement in the same way, at the same speed, at the same altitude and in the same direction. The sound of the airplane – imagine the movement of your energy in the darkness or as an invisible one. And so on. I think the method is clear to you. When you feel that the visualization is succeeding, that you are fully immersing yourself in a new state different from your surroundings, continue the task.
The task within the dream
Now it will concern the setup upon becoming aware of yourself in a dream. First, choose a goal. Your own. Your goal will be your task. Upon becoming aware of yourself in a dream, you must give yourself the setup.
You can practice flight skills: speed, stops, altitude. You can fly to specific places on earth or in space and explore them during the flight. You can practice the skill of dropping ballast in flight. Or fly in any places and be invisible or visible at your own desire.
Your algorithm of actions must be thought out. It is precisely from the moment of waking up in a dream that you must use it. The task within the dream must include the achievement of certain goals.
Examples from participants’ practice
A dream about flight and the fear of losing position
One of the participants told a dream. She is flying feet first, lying on her back, above a crowd of young people through long, narrow corridors. The ceilings are low, and anyone can touch her, which happens constantly. Some study all parts of her body very carefully. Everyone wants to find where the little motor is, or something like that. After all, no one can believe that she flies on her own.
And she just thinks: it’s strange, they’re trying to pull me down, but I still hover in the air. Then she got tired of such heightened attention, and she flew away. And now she is flying above a square staircase. Around her are schoolchildren, girls, boys. They jump over half-ruined railings, and she stands and watches all of it. After all, one could fall down. The staircase, like in old buildings, is arranged in a large square, and inside there is emptiness. The floor is high, one could fall and crash.
She flew up several floors, and then stopped in front of a very ruined staircase. And the children kept jumping upward, while she stopped and was afraid that she might fall down, because it is very high up there. And that one of her own small children might fall if they appear here.
Analysis of this dream
Dreams about flying, when someone wants to touch you, occur in cases when a person is in the public eye in life and has expressed themselves in something. People usually talk about them a lot, gossip, and want to find out more. You saw your state in the dream and people’s interest in you. And after that, the fear of losing your position. In the dream this is felt as the fear of falling.
Railings are support in any manifestation. And you have a fear that it is unfinished, broken, and so on. Destroyed staircases are obstacles on the path to advancement. If this advancement is important to you, change the projection of the future and remove the obstacles so that all circumstances in life change in your favor.
First experience of OS: healing and flight
One of the participants shared her first experience of a lucid dream. She did not expect it to work so quickly.
On March 20, she made the affirmation “How to remove a curse.” At first there were many dreams, but she does not remember anything. She woke up several times during the night, and the process continued. She felt and saw from the outside how the brain scans the entire system. This is very intense and strenuous work.
Then she saw herself walking down the street. A former friend and another classmate approached her. This girl asked her for a cigarette. She replied that she did not have one. And then she took out a pistol and says: “And this way do you have one?” She threatened her and began shooting at her with bullets made of cigarettes. It did not hurt, but the fact itself was unpleasant.
Then she sees a building where everyone lived and studied. Her father caught this girl and, twisting her arms behind her back, laid her face down on the floor, like a policeman with a criminal. She remembers that he said he was checking from 20 to 60 objects of negativity and destroyed them. After that the picture changed.
She sees the tip of an iceberg from afar. Then she came closer and saw its huge part under the water. It was a huge ice floe. She felt the element of water and the cold of the ice. Then fire appeared, and then she began to melt the ice. She was even surprised and noted to herself: “What a transition!” Then she felt herself to be fire and burned out the negativity until she had cleaned everything out.
In the middle of the night, her neck started hurting badly. And through her sleep she asked God to help and heal her. She was sleeping on her stomach and suddenly in her dream she felt an incredible relief. Something came off her head, neck, and went downward. It was simply a heavenly feeling, since she had already been enduring pain for a long time. She rejoiced and thanked God.
Then she lies there and feels that someone is pulling her by the legs in her sleep. She slides off the bed. She tensed up, what if it was an unclean spirit (she had already seen one in the astral). But then she trusted God and calmed down. And then she left her body completely and took flight. It was not the first time she had flown, but there had never been such a conscious exit.
She began flying around the dark apartment. It was as if she had expanded in size. Out of happiness she flew and sang. She saw her sleeping father (they do not live together) and felt the presence of her mother, who had died several years ago. Her soul was calm, and she felt completely safe. The flight was relatively short, and she woke up.
Analysis of this dream
Indeed, the result made an impression. Work on different planes, transitions without interrupting the sequence, various forms of energy – and you worked with all of them. You received help and the result.
As for the dream on the mental level – about the cigarettes that were being fired at you, it means that someone is trying to point out external negative factors to you. You perceive them more seriously than they actually are. It is your attitude that influences not only the emotions themselves, but also your physical health.
It is important for you to learn to abstract yourself from negativity and not react to it strongly and negatively. Everything else is already an OS. They are not deciphered like dreams from the mental and etheric planes. They usually occur in the near astral, and there everything means itself. Visually, it is often distorted (the focus of vision of the etheric double is not the same as that of the physical body).
With such results, you have good chances to advance further and use the subtle planes to solve problems.
Affirmation “Flights in Dreams”
I give you an affirmation that will help you tune in to flights in dreams. Recite it before sleep, entering a state of relaxation.
My body knows weightlessness…

I am in fact familiar with soaring… flight… movement…
My SuperSelf has always known… knows… and will know… what movement in flight is…
Much better… than the gravity of the physical world… of three-dimensional physical reality…
I am free from all heaviness… I have decided so… this is my word…

How to Use Dream Flying for Life
Flying in dreams is not just entertainment. It is a practice that changes your life. You can use flying to find answers to important questions. In a dream, you can fly to the right place, meet the right people, and see the solution. If you are afraid of heights or losing control, flying will help you cope with it.
If you feel a loss of energy, flying will give you a boost of energy. Flying opens access to new states of consciousness and new levels of perception. To deepen the practice and get more stable results, I recommend paying attention to the “Practice of Lucid Dreaming” program. In it, participants learn to control dreams, ask questions and receive answers, move through time and space, and help loved ones through dreams. The program lasts 2.5 weeks, and each participant gets a personal chat for communication throughout the entire course.
The project also has meditations that help with dream work. The “Triad for Dreams” includes three key meditations: if you have stopped dreaming, if you have heavy dreams and nightmares, and to remember dreams. There is also the “Golden Collection” of meditations: “Intention Meditation” for receiving answers in a dream, “Code of Fulfillment” for working with desires, and “Circle of Protection” for energetic safety.
To get the most out of the practice, use the Dream Calendar – it will tell you the best days for working with lucid dreams. To understand when dreams will come true, take the “Time in Dreams” webinar. And to check symbols, go to the dream interpretation app.
If you want to understand the nature of lucid dreams more deeply and learn to control your dreams, read my book “Prophetic Dreams and Lucid Dreaming”. In it, I share part of what I know about dreams.
Frequently asked questions about flying in dreams
Question: How do you induce a lucid dream and start flying?
Answer: Start with reality checks during the day – try to take off, ask yourself the question “Am I not sleeping?”. After 2-3 weeks, the brain will remember this action, and in a dream you will be able to take off and become aware of yourself.
Question: What should I do if I’m afraid of heights and falling?
Answer: Fear is normal. Start small: just jump or glide smoothly above the ground. If you’ve flown high – glide as if on wings. Over time, the fear will go away.
Question: Why can’t I take off in a lucid dream?
Answer: Perhaps you don’t fully believe that you can fly. Try instant teleportation techniques or imagine yourself as a rocket that slowly gains speed. Your confidence is the key to flight.
Question: Can flying in dreams harm your health?
Answer: No, they are safe. It is a state of consciousness, not a physical action. The main thing is to stay calm and not get overexcited.
Question: How long do you need to practice to learn to fly in a dream?
Answer: It varies from person to person. Some need just a few weeks, others require several months. The main thing is regularity and intention.
