What Scissors Mean in Dreams: Dream Interpretation and Stories That Came True
A project participant dreamed about her orchid. In reality, it had not bloomed for a long time. In the dream, the plant transformed: a tree trunk, strong, sturdy, many flower stalks in a circle. On one leaf there was a large dark spot. She understood: it was her daughter’s father who had dripped lime, and a diseased spot remained. She took scissors and cut off half of the leaf with the dark spot. Threw it away. And buds swelled on the flower stalks. The plant gathered itself and bloomed.
Soon after that, the relationship with her daughter’s father ended. The orchid bloomed in reality. The scissors helped cut away what was diseased and free up space for the new. The dream meant income and profit through getting rid of what was unnecessary.
Scissors in a dream symbolize danger, the desire to wound, to cause pain, damage, to harm. But if in a dream you cut or snip something with scissors – the dream means income, profit.

If in a dream you are attacked with scissors – danger in a conflict situation.
Being wounded, cut with scissors – the dream means losses, damages, poverty, the collapse of plans. If according to the dream’s plot close people were nearby – separation from them. Depending on how the attack ended, it will be possible to determine what to expect in reality. The greater the damage such a fight causes, the worse the consequences it will entail in life.
Any attack with scissors first of all means a conflict with some person; in any case the human factor will be present, since scissors by themselves cannot perform actions. They are always a weapon in a person’s hands. Likewise, the situation will necessarily have the character of a conflict, a quarrel, a confrontation.
If in a dream someone attacks with scissors, but does not manage to cause harm, inflict a wound or kill, in reality you will likewise manage to avoid great danger.
A blow with scissors or a dagger to the stomach – damage to your well-being, your normal way of life. Change the projection of the future!
Scissors in blood indicate conflicts with relatives or relatives with third parties. You are merely a witness in such a dream or one of the participants, just as it will be later in life.
The sharper and larger the scissors, the greater the danger from the person or situation in which the conflict will occur.
Sharpening scissors is the same as threatening with scissors – a symbol of the desire and readiness for war (figuratively), a quarrel and confrontation. Almost the same if someone chases or pursues a victim with scissors.
Blunt scissors, broken ones – a sign of the collapse of plans, losses.
You can check all the details of a dream in the app. It has more than 7,000 symbols, and each one is determined based on analytics from thousands of dreams that came true in the project. The website does not have such a database.
Scissors in a dream: what to do after waking up
Did you dream about scissors? First, record the details. They are what determine the meaning.
Write down what you were doing. Cutting hair, cutting, sharpening, attacking? Cutting hair or cutting – toward income and profit. Sharpening – toward readiness for conflict. Attacking – toward danger in a conflict situation.
Recall what you were cutting. A sheet, fabric, paper, hair? Each object adds meaning to the interpretation.
Pay attention to whether the scissors were sharp. The sharper and larger the scissors, the greater the danger from a person or situation.
Look at what you felt. Fear, calm, satisfaction? If you cut off something painful and felt relief, it is toward release from a problem.
You can check the full interpretation in the app. The algorithm takes into account all the details of the dream and shows the complete picture. It also has more than 7,000 symbols that cannot be found on the website.
