So, symbols of journeys, travel, relocations, dates.

Suitcases – a trip “over a distance” just as in life. Suitcases are used for long journeys.

Large travel bags – first of all, pay attention to when you use these in reality. In a general sense, large holdalls, like duffel bags, are packed for relocations. Often that is exactly how it turns out – a dream about moving.

Bags are first of all a kind of “exit” or “journey.” And by the appearance and purpose of the bag, one can understand exactly where it will be. Losing a suitcase means missing a chance to change much in your life; especially bad if this upset you in the dream.

A suitcase stolen in a dream means deceit or fraud, which will entail the disruption of your affairs and plans, bad changes.

Carrying or dragging a heavy suitcase means a difficult period in life. If you did not feel the weight in the dream, the dream means that you will cope with any difficulties in your affairs.

A suitcase full of beautiful and necessary things for you is a symbol of prosperity and success in all your affairs.

A new suitcase, if it is yours in your dream, means changes and great opportunities. Someone else’s suitcase in your home is a sign of a new resident, and at work, a colleague or boss.

The full interpretation of this symbol, with all the nuances and details, is available in our app. It contains the complete dream book database of the project – more than 7000 symbols, which is not available publicly. We even have dreams that are not in any dream book, because these are not invented symbols, but real ones that came true.

A bag in a dream: personal space and status

A woman’s bag in a dream is a symbol of personal space, personal, and sometimes intimate, life. The type of bag or purse will be the key to deciphering the side of life that the dream itself concerns. A bag is an indication of your well-being, status, and how you perceive your life.

If it was a small women’s bag, for example, a clutch or any evening purse, then the plot of the dream will point to relationships with partners-lovers. When a business-style bag is dreamed of, it points to secrets or matters of service, business, work.

But if the bag is an everyday one, such as women now prefer for household needs, the dream is about home, family. A travel bag (road bag) is a symbol of changes, trips, business connections (since the road is a symbolic indication of new affairs and projects).

Business bags are a symbol of work, of getting a job, or of losing one. The more expensive the business bag (briefcase), the higher the position and (or) salary may be.

Women’s “going out” handbags are the realm of personal relationships. Often, for example, handbags signify a date. The more beautiful it is in a dream, the better everything will go.

A backpack, duffel bag, sack in a dream: roads and stashes

Backpacks can indicate hiking trips. Because a backpack is worn on one’s back, it is a symbol of past experience, but all the same, as a dream symbol it also points to “roads.”

Household bags are the realm of the home, the “household,” and everyday needs. They may indicate trips connected with resolving domestic and financial matters.

And a rarer category: duffel bags and sacks. I wrote about duffel bags above. Sacks are “stashes.” It is important that in dreams they be filled with something good and useful.

Whole and damaged bags, suitcases, backpacks

On the general characteristic for these symbols:

Whole bags, suitcases, and backpacks mean a “successful trip.”

By the things packed in them, one determines where and when (what season) they are getting ready to go. Even with whom… if they contain another person’s things.

Torn, damaged, broken, and empty ones mean unfulfilled plans or unsuccessful trips. The analogy is simple: broken and empty means they did not even manage to leave. With things and torn or broken means there will be problems on the way or during the journey.

When they are lost in a dream, stolen, or simply cannot be found, the dream points to obstacles from other people or because of circumstances (in exactly the same way, by analogy: was there a “culprit” in the disappearance).

Actions with a bag in a dream

Buying a handbag in a dream means new connections, relationships, or plans.

Looking for your handbag means your desire to regain what was lost. Finding a handbag means unexpected circumstances and prospects. But finding a lost one means bringing back into your life something desired from the past, regaining your position.

Losing a handbag means missing an opportunity, if it was new, beautiful, expensive. And if it was ugly and unneeded, you will get rid of problems. Losing a bag with documents means being deprived of the opportunity to fulfill your own intentions. Leaving a bag behind, forgetting it, means losing vigilance, losing sight of something important to you.

Packing a bag in a dream means changes, trips, a change of residence, job, or partner (depending on the bag).

What different colors of bags mean

A red bag can be dreamed of for money or for a date, if it was a small handbag.

A black bag, expensive and beautiful, means business meetings and deals. A dirty, torn, or ugly black bag means big losses and problems.

A white bag, if it was beautiful, means changes and joyful events.

A multicolored one means adventures.

A dream about a designer bag and protection that came true

This is just one example out of thousands. The world’s largest database of dreams that came true is collected in our app. There you will find stories that will confirm or refute your guesses.

A participant’s story:

I dreamed that an acquaintance posted a photo on social media with a designer bag, bragging that she bought it herself. I admire the bag, very expensive, in a business style, leather like chocolate, I can’t afford one like that.

How the dream came true:

The dream came true that same day, that acquaintance posted a photo of her candidate of sciences diploma on social media. And bragged that she had finally defended her dissertation.

And indeed, the participant had at one time given up on graduate school due to her financial situation. The bag here is a symbol of status, of an achievement she couldn’t afford. The acquaintance achieved what the participant wanted but couldn’t.

The dream showed: the bag in the dream coincided with another person’s real achievement. The expensive business bag turned out to be a symbol of status and protection.

Bag, suitcase, backpack in a dream: what to do after waking up

If you dreamed of a bag, suitcase or backpack, act immediately after waking up.

Write down the dream while you remember the details. What was the bag like? What were you doing with it? Was it full or empty?

Recall whether there is a situation in your life that requires change. The dream may be pointing precisely to it.

Check whether you have lost something important. If the bag was lost in the dream, the dream warns of a missed opportunity.

Look at what type the bag was. This will show the area of life that the dream concerns.

Check the interpretation in the app. There, the algorithm takes into account all the details of the dream and shows the full picture. And there are also more than 7000 symbols that aren’t on the website.
