How to get rid of nightmares: recurring dreams and their interpretation

I would like to discuss the topic of nightmares. Victoria writes that all nightmares have a basis. And also, one should pay attention to whether the event itself occurred or there was only fear. From what I have managed to interpret, that is exactly how it is.

I especially want to note the topic of nightmares that repeat over and over again. Victoria wrote that this is how the subconscious dumps accumulated stress. But then I also thought, if in reality there is no working through of the source of stress, then the stress will accumulate again and again pour out into the same nightmare.

That is, if a nightmare repeats, it should not be brushed aside, it is not “little nightmares on a balloon”(c), but quite a serious source of stress.

As one psychologist writes, one must respect one’s feelings. Become your own mother, who will not brush aside the unpleasant emotions of her little girl. A mother must remember that the girl’s emotions are important and not groundless, otherwise tomorrow this will spill over into a real personal problem – the mother will turn into a stepmother, and the girl into a stepdaughter – an obvious personal conflict and fertile ground for hysteria.

Series of recurring nightmares

I have several series of recurring nightmares.

One of them – for many years I dreamed that I was in a village toilet with wobbling boards and I kept being afraid of falling into the toilet pit.

In reality, in childhood there was an episode when I had to use a similar toilet and there was a similar fear of falling in.

Until I came to this site, that was how I interpreted this nightmare – I relive again and again that half-forgotten, long-past empty childhood fear and somehow cannot free myself from it.

Not once in a dream did I actually fall into a toilet pit, but I also never managed to relieve myself.

It turned out that through the image of a swaying floor in the toilet, I was being shown my neurotic anxiety against the backdrop of hyper-responsibility and the inability to release stress.

A rather unpleasant state, I must note.

But the actual “falling” into a situation of disgrace and shame did not happen.

The second series of nightmares – the theme with a mirror and Baba Yaga hiding in the mirror, cursing me behind my back

In the dream there was a feeling that something terrible had happened. Evil had already penetrated my world, this fact had already occurred, all that was left was to fight it.

It turned out to be a prophetic dream, warning of magical negativity against me.

That is exactly what happened. I learned about the negativity when it was already too late, all that was left was to cleanse myself.

The third series of nightmares – labyrinths of paradoxical staircases and elevators

Elevators travel horizontally, not where they should. Staircases end in a dead end in a wall. A flight of stairs is missing midway, staircases suddenly end, etc. I never fall in them, I just wander in search of a way.

I haven’t yet decoded this series. Maybe someone else has seen recurring nightmares and also interpreted them?

How to get rid of nightmares: different quality of dreams

At one time Victoria wrote about dreams of different quality. And by my own dreams I also clearly distinguish this. There are dreams that are so vivid, like life — both in pace, and in clarity, and in the perception of what is seen in the dream. And such dreams are very memorable, they really cut into memory and stay there.

And there are dreams that are very chaotic. A lot happens in them, the pace is faster than in real life, that is, events change right one after another and everything happens a bit like in delirium. And there is a lot of movement, changing scenes, pictures, characters. Such dreams are remembered in a blurry way.

But at the same time they leave a frightening residue and even horror in the soul. Individual scenes of this streak of dreams are remembered. And, of course, there is nothing pleasant in them, and sometimes even outright nightmare.

And when I start analyzing such dreams, it always turns out that it is either an unloading of the consciousness (especially on the 19th lunar day such dreams occur). Or what hinders in life is rolling through, that is, again internal negativity surfaces for various purposes — to hint, to warn (not about a coming event, but about internal problems, which possibly may lead to negativity).

What to do if you have recurring nightmares

If you have recurring nightmares, do not ignore them. This is a signal. Your subconscious is trying to reach you.

Write down the dream. Write down all the details. Analyze the symbols. Think about what in your life causes fear or anxiety.

If you cannot cope on your own, turn to a professional. A psychologist, a psychotherapist can help you work through fears and change your thinking.

Remember: nightmares are not a sentence. They are an opportunity to change your life for the better.

To check your symbols, go to the dream interpretation app. And to choose the right time for practice, consult the Dream Calendar. If you want to understand the nature of dreams more deeply, read my book “Prophetic Dreams and Lucid Dreaming”.
