How to Make Magnesium Oil at home…

In this post I will tell you how you can easily and quickly make Magnesium Oil at home. How to use it. Why you need to use it on an ongoing basis.

Did you know that 90% of people have a Magnesium deficiency in their body? Yes, you are reading correctly, specifically Magnesium, not Calcium or Iron. But it’s somehow strange that so little attention is paid to this important mineral!

I think if you ask people which mineral they have taken at least once in their life as a supplement — almost 100% will answer that it was Calcium. I was no exception either!

We can still quite easily get Calcium from food, but things are not so simple with Magnesium. The food we consume no longer contains even close to the amount of this important mineral that it contained even 100 years ago. And this leads us to one single way out — taking Magnesium from quality supplements.

I have already described in detail why it is vitally necessary to restore a normal healthy Magnesium balance in our body and which form of it is absorbed best.

In this post, however, I will share one interesting and unusual recipe for how you can supply your body with Magnesium …through the skin! After all, it is the skin that is our largest organ, and everything we apply to it gets inside.

Magnesium Oil is built on this very principle! The Magnesium from this oil is very easily absorbed and assimilated by our body.

And I will honestly admit, making homemade Magnesium Oil turns out to be much cheaper than buying it ready-made or using quality Magnesium Citrate.

How to Make Magnesium Oil at home?

I will probably start with the fact that in its concentration, Magnesium Oil is not an oil, but rather a kind of oily little liquid.

This oil possesses all the beneficial properties of Magnesium that our body needs. It is made very simply and quickly.

You will need:

  • Glass spray bottle (I had one left over from Argan Oil)
  • Magnesium Chloride flakes — 1 part
  • Filtered water — 1 part

How to make it:

  1. Boil filtered water. Do not do this in aluminum cookware. We do not want to absorb that toxic metal along with our oil.
  2. Place the Magnesium Chloride flakes in a glass or ceramic bowl.
  3. Pour hot water over them and stir well until the flakes are completely dissolved.
  4. Cool and pour into our glass bottle. Our Magnesium Oil is ready!

How to apply Magnesium Oil?

You should start applying the Oil gradually, starting with 2-5 sprays and working up to 30 per day (or until the point when you start to have something like diarrhea — a sign that you’ve slightly overdone it with Magnesium). Let’s not forget that Magnesium has a laxative effect!

I warn you right away: in people who are deficient in Magnesium, the skin will tingle when this Oil is applied. It’s not painful, more uncomfortable and not particularly pleasant. Therefore, I advise applying it where there is more, so to speak, flesh and fewer bones. For example, on the belly or on the buttocks.

Don’t forget to massage lightly after applying. If after that you notice that the Oil still hasn’t fully absorbed — that’s normal, it will absorb within 5-10 minutes.

Do not wash off the Oil for at least 30 minutes after applying it. Give your body a chance to absorb all the Magnesium it needs.

I do not recommend applying Magnesium Oil to the skin immediately after a shower or bath (wait half an hour and then apply), or to damaged skin (including after epilation/depilation), unless of course you want to run around the house shouting “Help, I’m burning all over!”

Many people like to apply Magnesium Oil at night, since Magnesium has a relaxing and calming effect, helping you fall asleep faster and better.

I myself apply this oil to my calves, simply because it’s convenient for me that way. I don’t particularly like the consistency of this oil on the skin, and on my calves it bothers me the least. I apply it an hour before bed and wash it off right before sleep under warm water. I use Magnesium Oil every day.

To understand whether the Oil has absorbed, simply look carefully at your skin — if white dried flakes have appeared on it, that means the Magnesium has fully absorbed, and it can be safely washed off.

I wash off these flakes because I can’t fall asleep with them on; it seems to me that they constantly itch.

There is a theory that people whose skin tingles when applying Magnesium Oil have a deficiency of this mineral. Moreover, I’ve noticed from my own experience that the longer I use this oil, the less it bothers me.

We are all individuals, so it’s hard to predict what reaction you specifically will have to Magnesium oil. Just try making it and start using it!

Magnesium is especially necessary for people who are constantly nervous, since this flushes out the already insufficient amount of this calming mineral from our body; for people suffering from insomnia and panic attacks. Many claim that this mineral can combat morning sickness during pregnancy. If you want to learn why it is so important to regulate a normal level of magnesium in the blood, you can read more about it here.

By the way, an additional method for our body to get Magnesium is Epsom salt, with which you can and should take baths.

Magnesium Oil is yet another additional inexpensive and natural remedy that we should use to replenish the reserves of this important mineral in our body. Don’t overlook this mineral; its deficiency can underlie many diseases and conditions.
